Can anyone recommend a drag and drop MP3 file size reducer for the Mac. (Preferably for free)
I might be wrong but Reason 12 doesn’t seem to have an option to alter the output settings for MP3s.
cheers anyone.

I would use iTunes (aka Music). It can convert to any common MP3 bit rate, and has VBR option. However, I wouldn't start with an MP3 from Reason, which would end up compressing it twice. I'd export full fidelity WAV or AIF from Reason and convert it to MP3 in iTunes (aka Music).

Thanks for the suggestion, itunes is a bit to faffy for what I’m looking for. A drag and drop system would be perfect and yes it could be done from a wav file instead.
I basically want to output a more or less finished arrangement. To drop into a Tello card as an MP3 but it must be below 10meg. as that’s the file size limit. Quality doesn’t really matter at this stage as it's for listening to the arrangement away from the DAW.

The free version obviously. The free version can do alot especially if you're just working with MP3 and WAV files.

VLC media player does a good job of converting media.
@pushedbutton on twitter, add me, send me a message, but don't try to sell me stuff cos I'm skint.
Using Reason since version 3 and still never finished a song.
