I'm in the same boat as you. I think I'll probably just use Audacity now for the mastering step, as I usually already used it for final format conversion into ogg and properly tagging the files. Or I might just use Cloudbounce for quick AI mastering instead of izotope and save myself some bucks.
Any Reason (or Live) users here that use iZotope Neutron and/or Ozone?
Yeah it's definitely a pain especially given the continued delay with vst3 support in Reason, still it will soon be Christmas not that I will be buying the upgradeEnochLight wrote: ↑19 Oct 2022Crap - seriously??! How did I miss that - they removed the standalone version of Ozone in version 10?? You mean I would *HAVE* to use it as a plugin in my DAW??!
* EDIT: confirmed. Yeah, screw that noise. I'll stick to Ozone 9. I guess I should be honored that I'm finally in the 1%! Lol!

Are there any new AI assistant improvements in 10 that I'd miss out in 9, though?PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑19 Oct 2022Yeah, but you can use the 10 plugins inside the 9 standaloneEnochLight wrote: ↑19 Oct 2022
The standalone version of Ozone 9 still works, but Ozone 10 doesn't come with a standalone version TMK.

Idk. There's new modules. I don't care for the "Ai" features

Well, I picked up the bundle anyway. It's cheaper for me to get this bundle than to update Neutron and Ozone separately (which I know I'd eventually do at some point), plus I get a new reverb.

Those of you dismayed by the dropping of the stand-alone app from Ozone 10 may be interested to read about T-RackS from IK Multimedia. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5/

Nah, I haven't any use for T-RackS. I remember installing that like 20 years ago though - they went all in with the skeuomorphism in those days. I'll admit they look a lot nicer now, though!

Dismayed is pretty close word for it. It was a DAW, and now it's gone. You can imagine it as if Reason 13 was released tomorrow, but the standalone DAW was retired and it was RRP only. This is almost exactly what happened to customers like myself.integerpoet wrote: ↑20 Oct 2022Those of you dismayed by the dropping of the stand-alone app from Ozone 10 may be interested to read about T-RackS from IK Multimedia. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5/
Spent the last week demoing TRacks, among others. Isn't an option here. It is somewhat of a convoluted system (if you want all those sweet extras) but worst of all the demo did not perform well for me. Not only that but the component plugs were all acting very heavy back in Reason too. I do love their GUIs.
I'm just going to forget about iZotope and use a few appropriate plugs in wavelab/reaper/etc and I'll be ok from here.

To be clear, I wasn't recommending it. I've never tried it or even read a review. I merely got curious about alternative suites, asked a search engine about it, and that one jumped out at me as having an app.integerpoet wrote: ↑20 Oct 2022Those of you dismayed by the dropping of the stand-alone app from Ozone 10 may be interested to read about T-RackS from IK Multimedia. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/tr5/

I mean, I'm miffed that Ozone 10 removed the standalone app, but it was never a DAW. Not even close. Unless you're just using that term loosely? Like.... in the loosest way possible?

Yes. Ozone standalone was a Digital Audio Workstation.EnochLight wrote: ↑21 Oct 2022I mean, I'm miffed that Ozone 10 removed the standalone app, but it was never a DAW. Not even close. Unless you're just using that term loosely? Like.... in the loosest way possible?
