Daw's tied modules? RPP one of its kind?

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

I have recently got a Mac M1. With it I got Garage Band, and Digital Performer, which is also available for
windows, but on Mac has some unique plugins. Same for GarageBand, DP11 plugins are way cooler thought.

But I also saw recent posts and announcements of other Daws with unique modules. Bigwig for example
or Hardware related module like the LUNA and Apollo ones.

I tried to open a project with GB but I could not use DP modules.
Opened DP but could not use GB modules.
In both I can use RPP.
These modules form DP or GB some are AU, as for GB, and DP I don't even know what kind of extension they have,
but some are supercool. There are Moogs, ProReverbs, Pedals, Multichannel compressors. All free modules if
you have a Motu sound card. But I can't use any of these outside DP11.

What is your thoughts on this?
Also Ableton like Bigwig has its own modules, so currently RPP is one of its kind.
It's the only DAW that allows other DAWS to use its modules freely.
with the exception of VcV rack 2.0 maybe, but I'm not sure.

What is your experience with cross-talk usage of modules in other DAW's that are not
native to that DAW, or that are tied to Hardware, but can be used in any DAW or
just the proprietary DAW, as it's the case of Motu DP11 Lite?

If I remember well somebody pointed out that the RRP feature is also available with FL studio.
Tied to hardware for me is a firm no go...
Tied to DAW is understandable in my view.
Bitwig and RRP fanboy...

Reaper has also implemented their FX as VST thus any other DAW can use those. So your premise of Reason being unique ("one of its kind") with this feature is met with at least two counter examples, now.
