I finally found a buyer for my previous pc so I will provably buy a macbook pro m1 Pro with 16gb and 1tb tomorrow.

My question is thus if I need to buy 32gb or 16gb is ok.
I don't game or do much on my laptop apart from music.
I am generally using bitwig with RRP and many other plugins like izotope ozone and neutron, serum, predator 3, pigments, novum, iris2, vital, and others.

I remember using my m1 with 8gb without any issue but I wonder if somebody had any issue in an equivalent config with 16gb?

I don't believe too much on 'buy more because you' ll need it in 5 years'... In 5 years or before, I'll certainly buy another laptop anyway.
Bitwig and RRP fanboy...

I don't think music production needs tons of RAM unless you work with big sample libraries a lot. 16GB should be fine.
My (8 year old) old laptop has 32GB and I've never run out of RAM. Also I think today's computers are better tuned to use their fast SSD system drives as working memory.
