Hi,
any experiences with the Korg SQ-64 and Reason?

I'm a big fan of the SQ-1 but the SQ-64 is missing the very thing that makes the SQ-1 so immediate - the knobs. I realise it would be very difficult to fit that many knobs on there but without them it is just another step sequencer.
It generates MIDI so I'm sure it will work fine with Reason but make sure you look at the rival products before you make a decision.

So I bought it, it works like a charm in R12 - with 4 different sequencers! Its nice to see all 64 steps at once, thats the main reason I bought it. The SQ 64 is very cheap, too. And of course the design is compact and looks really good.
I recommend it!

Update: Midi Clock Out Sync makes problems and the SQ 64 is often way too much out of sync when recording notes. Sometimes it syncs very good, sometimes its too much delay and you even hear it. Sync problems are totally random, I can't get it solved.
Selled it.
