So I tried the Syntakt out for a bit. Undoubtedly powerful and incredibly well thought out, but it's really not for me and I ended up returning it. I've got a fair bit of modular/outboard synths + a million vst synths and I guess I just really like to get in there and tweak/make crazy patches from scratch.
I DO have a Digitakt now, though, and I think it's here to stay.

I hear you about the tracker, but having a DT there's no point in getting it. The m8 tracker however...
I'm thinking the Syntakt paired with the DT would be a fantastic combo for me, though. I hope they bring some of those scales into the DT on a firmware upgrade soon
