Little gadgets are right up my alley...aside from these being $400 and no built-in battery. I don't understand the point of something made to be portable that doesn't have its own battery. I would recommend an iPad Mini.
I would recommend anything made by Elektron, but if you have fingers built for that screen then why not if they can provide an ever lasting source of inspiration

Interested in the lemon drop. Interesting to hear how it processes the input granularly in real time. That plus the effects sounds like a worthy unit. Plus I know the quality will be solid, based on another product I own by them.
If they make the firmware interchangeably between these two like they did with two their eurorack modules, I'm ordering.

Aww thats a bummer... Thanks, bxbrkrz
So sounds like they just want that $800 for both?bxbrkrz wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022Interested in the lemon drop. I'm not very familiar with 1010music, but I wouldn't rule out loading firmwares...? I mean perhaps they would consider having user accounts in which you can purchase the firmware for a fraction of the cost. Not sure how they did it for the eurorack modules mentioned.
I would also think that the line wouldn't stop at these two. But expecting people to fork out $400 for each, that's a lot of money for little gadgets. I think it would be more appealing at that price if you could buy and exchange firmwares without paying $400 each time. That's making the OP-1 after it's handful of big price hikes look just about as reasonable for everything you get in a gadgety thing.

I love the footage clearly intended to reassure potential customers their local studio engineer will not laugh them out of the room. And I mean that with zero malice. It's as adorable as the device itself.

It would be nice for potential buyers to know they could swipe the firmware in the future, if there is no hardware issues, for sure.joeyluck wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022So sounds like they just want that $800 for both?

As far as the look and the cost, I've heard a lot of people calling Reason and the OP-1 toys and gadgets too, and both tools have vibrant, loving, supporting communities.
From now on, nothing will be cheap.

Some of us like toys, and are comfortable enough to admit it.bxbrkrz wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022It would be nice for potential buyers to know they could swipe the firmware in the future, if there is no hardware issues, for sure.

Toys are bright and colorful for a reason. Too attract children, adults, and animals. : )
Party poopers, and sticks in the mud, hate toys.

I am a fan of toys. Speaking of cool toys, I had been thinking of getting one of these...
If only it had MIDI Out!
