You know how alcoholics call themselves alcoholics even after they've stopped drinking

…and many if not most addicts have multiple drugs of choice even if some of them aren't substances.

Aw man. If only you had some cables. They might be round the back. Try pressing TAB.

I phoned them yesterday becasue the status of my order had changed in their website from “available shortly” to “on request”. They told me it’s arrived and they’re preparing it for shipping woohhoooo!!!! Was a holiday in Germany today. Here in Sweden too. So we’ll see tomorrow if it gets sent.
Cables are already sorted and a 10 point power supply. Looking good :):):). Jazzmaster Ultra. Can’t wait.

I checked out Jazzmaster Ultra on the innertubes. Tone configuration knob/switch set up seems like an improvement over my modest '62.
Run that sucker through any number of Kuassa rigs = heaven

It’s the best sounding guitar I’ve ever played and beautiful to look at too. Unfortunately there was something wrong with the “hidden” tone switch and after just half an hour the guitar starting buzzing like hell. Had to send it back and I was sad.

Just ordered a Jazzmaster Am Pro II 3TSB. See if I have better luck with that. From what I understand the V Mod II pickups are more dynamic than the silent pickups on the Ultra...sound more like a JM should sound :). In stock in 1-2 weeks so probably end up getting it around August 2022.

Awaiting your review, my captain
Sound aside, the JM is a beautiful gitbox

I will return with a verdict. As far as the 60 cycle hum goes I’ll just keep then switch in the middle and the pickups’ll cancel each other out.
Really can’t beat an offset. JM or Jag. Mustangs are a weird one though. Have you tried one of those Vinteras with the 3 P90s by the way?

I was wondering about the middle position toggle switch, certainly sounds out of phase on mine. Went in there with modest soldering skillz to replace the dying top topside pickup selector, now the middle toggle position is the only one what doesn't hum like a mofo
And the topside pickup select is dead.
Take it from me kids, hire a pro

In what may be just a coincidence, I'm about to rewire my $200 bass to bypass ridiculous 9v distortion circuit, what drains the battery if cord is plugged in, rendering guitar soundless until you replace 9v battery. Other than that, not a bad bass for $200.
I'm hopeless, but that has never stopped me before
