While testing my new Mac Mini M1,
Reason is sending a clock pulse from SW Sync (Expert Sleepers) through VCV Rack Bridge plugin to VCV Rack.
Both are running rock solid in sync, no hickups. Top notch

Mac Mini M1 16GB / 512GB

both are running through Rosetta indeed, and screen recording is done with Quicktime.

Thanks for the reply, it all looks pretty stable.

Are you surprised by the performance?

Yes actually I am.
VCV Rack is very demanding on GPU power, if it can not find an adequate GPU it will tax the CPU.

So far I have been able to run decent size VCV patches and still have enough power left to run other application along side.
So I am quite surprised about the performances vs price, compared to my double the price trusty fat custom built 2,5 year old notebook.
That usually starts to spin up its fans as if it was about to take off to Mars 😂, talking about a very thick notebook with desktop CPU and dedicated GPU.

So I am enjoying this M1 so far 👍🏼

Sounds good, I was a little hesitant about the M1 hardware but over the last few weeks I've seen a lot of positive reviews, are you using an external audio device?

If so what one

RME Babyface pro fs & RME Digiface USB, both are supported and compatible with Big Sur and Silicon.
RME was very fast in making their drivers and software compatible, and give great support.
