Hi if i'm doing everything in the box, like i don't need to record guitars or vocals or anything

I don't understand if an audio interface would be beneficial to me and why?

The only issues i had was some delay from the "virtual midi keyboard" and the DAW.........but its a buffer issue, when i lower the buffer its faster so i get by.........would this be fixed if i got an external audio interface?

is this the only benefit for me? or what else can i it improve? Provided i'm doing everything in the box using samples.

If you work 100% in the box, then you won't get anything worth your money as even most on board audio interfaces are of good quality. Midi is done via USB most of the time, so that does not have anything to do with the audio path. Getting some good headphones for mixing is most likely the much better investment for you.

RAM and an SSD both will help with performance if you're primarily using samples.

Good full range over ear headphones for mixing although lots of people will say well treated room and decent monitors which is not always on option for everyone.

If you are using a Mac working 100% in the box then an audio interface is not required. If you're using a Windows PC then using Asio4all with your onboard sound can work great too.

If you have active monitors, how do you get sound to them? Via headphone jack? An external audio interface will (most probably) give you higher quality digital to analog converters, and balanced outputs.

Good headphones usually have a high ohmage, and might not be able to be driven by the pc headphone jack.

Does the word ohmage exist? 😂

Sure. Voltage, amperage, ohmage. No faradage or henryage, though.
