I wouldn't hold my breath for Ableton Control on MPC One.. like ever. They're trying to keep the One positioned as an entry level MPC. Adding on Ableton Control would blur that line way too much with the Live and X, IMHO.
But that Drum Synth is fucking awesome, eh?

Yeah, it's very nice indeed, although it feels like the GUI & workflow were "rushed".
Which is weird seeing how it doesn't look any different from what they were showing on NAMM in Jan 2020
Hoping for a preview of MPC3.0 at NAMM 2021!

Now *THAT* would be freaking awesome. But... Is there even going to be a NAMM 2021? Will it be over Zoom?

Part of me hopes they don't tease 3.0 at NAMM 2021. The last time they teased something at NAMM, it took almost a year for it to appear in an update (Drum Synth)!

Yeah, I can see that, but I've feeling they're turning the things around finally. They seem to have updated the back-end of their website recently (user account stuff), which perhaps means they're redying to roll out new stuff. At least that's what I hope forEnochLight wrote: ↑25 Nov 2020Part of me hopes they don't tease 3.0 at NAMM 2021. Do you still have your MPC? I just bought a Force on Friday - supposed to arrive on Monday. I still have my MPC Live 2 and will probably keep it, though. For now.

Yes, I do.EnochLight wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021Do you still have your MPC? I just bought a Force on Friday - supposed to arrive on Monday. I still have my MPC Live 2 and will probably keep it, though. For now.
In fact I was just playing with it over the weeked. The Drumsynth is really cool. MPC One is really good, overall.
Congrats on getting the Force! I feel like it's the direction MPC line should go towards (arranger, clips, Hype) but that might take years considering it's been 4 months since that post you quoted and all that's happened in the meantime is dozens of e-mails from Akai/Air about sales of sound packs and plugins

Agreed - I still love my MPC and feel it's just a fantastic piece of gear and very inspiring.
LOl - indeed! I am looking forward to using Hype Synth again - I briefly had a Force a couple of months ago but sold it before spending a lot of time on it. I plan to make it more of a focus this time around, and might even do an in-depth video on it. Not a lot of content on Hype out there, except for users stumbling through the presets. Which, in all honesty - that would probably be what my video would look like. It's mostly a preset player machine - the only thing you can adjust on Hype aside from the filter/envelope and effects are 6 macros, and those are pre-determined. It's actually a lot more limited in sound design compared to TubeSynth, Bassline, and Electric. Still, it does bring something "new", so - there's that.antic604 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021Congrats on getting the Force!
