AKAI MPD226 Help

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

Has anyone successfully hooked up an MPD 226 and got NOTE REPEAT function to work properly? It works for me, but the 1/4 1/8 etc buttons don't work at all. I've searched all over for some tutorials but not much out there.
