Anyone use RYMCast?

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

I got RYM2612 ages ago and love it. Never thought to try out RYMCast. Going to download it and give it a go. Anybody here use it and has any comments? :)

YES!

I praise RYM2612 and RYMCast all the time! So much fun! :)

I'm surprised you hadn't used it yet. To me, that's one of the biggest features and selling points of RYM2612. Here's an article/interview I did with them a few years ago:

Aside from using it to load patches into the RYM2612, I do also like to pull it up just to jam out to Sega classics

Joey...help me out here if you can. In the video you can see that there's a setting for RYM2612 on RYMCast. How do I find that? The only formats I can export are .wav, AIFF and FLAC. I've clicked on everything. Doesn't seem to be any instructions either.

Edit: Hahahaha...cancel that Joey. Fixed it :) Didn’t realise you had to pause it :)

Yup! Just pause and drag and drop the part you want into the Reason rack or on top of an existing RYM2612.

Thanks...I'm finding it a bit hard to get sounds I like but I guess it takes a bit of practice with the Mute and Solo buttons. Just so I knw though...the top row isYM1-YM6. The bottom row is SN1-SN4. What exactly are they? The YM ones and the SN ones?

The YM ones correspond with the YM2612 FM chip (the one RYM2612 emulates). The SN ones represent the SN76489, the other very basic chip the Genesis used.

Thanks :). I just didn’t see anything happening on the SN ones so was wondering :)
