Are Nektar controllers still the most capable for Reason?

Aside from any nits and gripes, are Nektar controllers the current best options available for controlling Reason? Thanks.

I just hate P1's sliders and knobs. What are the viable alternatives? I need knobs mostly, perhaps some sequencing pads would be nice.

I was gonna grab one of the Nektar Impact boards when my old Axiom 49's keys started failing but none of them had any pedal inputs or 5 pin DIN output which I think is criminal... I settled on a Roland a49 cause of it's pedal inputs and MIDI out. It didn't have aftertouch but the expression pedal makes up for that a bit. Now the a49 only has two knobs but I rarely ever used that many of the sliders/encoders on my old Axiom 49...

I am unimpressed by the Nektar integration. The stock maps are poor. There is a valiant effort at 3rd party maps but it's a whole extra dimension of messing about that defeats the point for me. I end up just remote overriding the controls I need on my P1 and I could do that on any controller. I would have been happier with a Korg nano Kontrol as it would have taken up less space.

The key bed is the best bar none in the price segment. Tried them all in the shop. Puts the more expensive 261 akai to shame.

P4/P6, T4,T6 all have USB, Midi din, foot and expression inputs.
P1 and Impact range have USB and foot input.

Not sure about the Impact LX88 that might have more.
EDIT: looking at a picture it has USB, Midi Din, and foot input.

A number of girls have commented on my knob...s

The silver ones work well as they give you more spacing between..

I know you did not ask but others might be interested :D
These are the other rotaries, well the smaller ones, the big ones are too big as there is not the proper room to move them if they were all big.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Before I order these, (since you haven't done it) the fader caps are not replaceable?

Hi, can confirm that the fader caps are replaceble. Ask Nektar-Support, if you are lucky there will send you a set for no cost.

Hey, thanks, but mine are working fine. My mechanical keyboard has a red-ish glow, and in dim lighting I can see the white keys of the midi keyboard just fine, but the knobs and faders become almost invisible.
