I have the original MS20, and it is a fun synth to play with, especially for FX type sounds and leads. But I would probably pass at $1400 and look at Sequential Pro 3 if analog hw was something I wanted.

The MS-20 seems a good experimental Synth. Tons of Patchess. Very Dynamic, it seems, w/routing options.

Plus, I want the True Filter Circuit.
But, that Seq Pro 3.... very nice... talk about full featured.

I have to research that.

Im precisely after the MS-20 FS for "FX type sounds and leads."

If the MS-20 FS's Filters are like the Original, then sorry,... the Pro 3 is no substitute.
It's the best filters Ive ever heard/tried - "and I've tried them all" - Godfather QUOTE.
Really, Im just after a smooth 6dB HP and a 12dB LP - for is it vice versa? ... I've got ladder covered.

And assignable vs dedicated CV means SLOW CV. Nah...

PRE-ORDER opens SOON.

Yes not a substitute. I played with Pro 3 at Namm, it is a superb mono synth, sounding so good and a big palett of sounds (they cleverly built in both a ladder and OTA filters). But MS-20 has many unique ways to do awesome crazy stuff, and it is easy. Especially if you can learn to play with one hand and modulate stuff with your left and just record audio into the DAW. The gritty filter distortion is unique too and very useful, some low+high cut with resonance on both can get some awesome thin screaming leads, fun stuff.

I do hope its lives up to my Dreams. Then X2.
It doesn't seem so Limited Edition like the 2600 FS so plenty is anyone wants!

Seems Im the only taker on RT.

Ill report back!

It's BLUE!!! Ordered a Black - but - I wanted a BLUE! :puf_wink:

It came WELL PACKAGED. They learned from the 2600FS.

Lighter than I thought it would be.
Wired it up. Signal out. WOW!

Clinical VCOs is my experience so far. I like.
Tuning. I like.
It's the Filters and the EGs... DAMN!!! I like!
Easy to make the Sound Evolve.

The BASS! Pure niceness. Keeper!

Ill explore more later. No wires yet - but I recorded alongside "Juicy".
It adds something.

I gotta try this through the Fumana!

Looks sweet - I never owned one myself but spent hours at my local music store as a kid messing around with the original. Was this not one of the first, if not the first semi-modular synths? Love the blue, btw...

I never tried the Original, and only am familiar with the MS20 because of the plethora of Apps! - well... That, and Paul Perry’s Frostwave Resonator!

I’m going to noodle with it today, and try some “presets”... maybe an FX or 2.
The Price makes it easy’er to TRY than most synths.

It doesn’t have the SOLD OUT status of the 2600 FS, so they’re around.
What a Great time to be Alive!
