Sphero Specdrums

A friend of mine told me about this 'instrument' the other day that he purchased as a gift, and on further investigation it looks to be quite interesting. It's a great way to introduce kids to making music.

Not sure of the value in this as a serious production tool, as I would imagine there is some latency, I assume there are accelerometers in the rings to detect the hits, and the sensor needs to detect the color, before a sound is triggered.

But it looks like a bit of fun for any future musicians !
