I need to get into this and see if my X-Touch Compact will work. New year resolutions. Don't get drunk everyday and make more music.

Another Instruments appendage:
I've been thinking about how to map synths so it's clear and someone uses it. And I managed to divide it mostly into sections and hide it under the top Rotary Button. It's mostly that 1st-3rd are Oscillators ( I used one Rotary Button somewhere, but press it multiple times for the next Osc )After the Osc are Filters, then LFOs and then Effects. On Rotary B. 7 is the mix section (polyphony, Pitch Band settings etc. And Newly I have always connected on Rotary button 8 Soft mod = There you will find just filters or a few more mappings, but without complexity, for those who want to use only filters. If you would like to map something else there, I can even put instructions here on how to do it and map your own keys in this mod.

I have to say that I was often betrayed by some instruments, especially drum machines, where there is a mapping from the manufacturer, but you can't switch to individual subsections and thus I would be mapping things that you can't see and can be unlocked with the mouse, so there is no point in mapping them. So I only map things that can be toggled and I can see that I'm moving them. For U-Jam Eden etc., I also used Button 1-8 as switches when mapping, where in Rot. Button 1 you toggle like on the mix Mute and Solo also on the bottom row keys where normally the Play, Stop etc. keys are. If anything isn't clear, post and I'll go on, I still have about 11 synths I want to map...
So far mapped along with gullum

You can write here which device you would like to map together with X-touch mini and I will map it. I can download the trial device and map it.

Hi. I've put together a new mapping for the X-Touch (non-mini) so cross posting here as I think it may be of interest to some people in this thread.

So I added a few more tools and the list is final. The list is part of the Zip file. So download and if something doesn't work, let me know. I'm using my mapping now and unfortunately I'm finding that the bugs are there :-(. I map correctly, but when I create another map, I accidentally damage the previous map and there's a problem... I guess I'll try mapping the EQ above and then look forward to your requests....Have a nice day.

Great job. I had a BEHRINGER BCR2000 from Behringer, so I'm a fan of these larger controllers as well. And the new X-touch has even more possibilities with the displays. But the mini was a challenge for me, cramming so many functions in there seemed impossible and cluttered many times. But in the end, I'm happy.

It's an incredible amount of work. In parallel to the mixer maps I've also been working on mapping instruments and effects to the X-Touch. After a while I started to realise why so many of the default manufacturer maps are so bad or so basic – there's no way they are going to put in that amount of effort just so they can claim compatibility with another DAW. Aside from Nektar who have always done a great job with their Remote support, I think the best maps can only come from Reason enthusiasts who actually use the software.
