Behringer X-Touch mini Remote mapping
I got the X-Touch mini yesterday, so I decided to map it to use in Reason because the MCU in Reason is really bad and also would limit the way the Mini can work with Reason.
now more then 100 devices are mapped
have not started to mapp the instruments/synths I have yet
For now, you have to try it to see how it works and it will be logically mapped
Download the zip file and place the files in the right folder
on mac it's in Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Remote/
There are 2 folders in there Codecs and Maps
In Codecs folder open Lua Codecs and place the Beringer folder from the downloaded zip in there
In Maps there is already a Behringer folder so place the "X-Touch Mini.remotemap" in that folder

To simplify the mapping I have named the buttons and rotary
Encoders are called Rotary 1-8
Encoders Push are called Rotary Buttons 1-8
top row buttons are just called Button 1-8
second row of buttons are from left to right.
Left Button, Right Button, Rewind Button, Fast Fwd Button, Stop Button, Play Button & Record Button
Master Fader is Master Fader Layer A is Frm Left Button Layer B is Frm Right Button

Thank you for sharing the remote-files.
Could you tell me, if the X-touch-mini Encoder-LEDs are always respond to values in Reason, so that they are always in sync ? In short, are the LEDs respond feedback from Reason if you change a value with the Mouse in Reason ?

yes they are responsive and update fast
I have mapped them to show in different ways, normal risings like volume or single dot increase( Spread) from center out or bipolar
maybe I should just make a video to show it a little how it works
Are you able to control most of the important parameters of devices ? Like oscillator filters envelopes etc?
I'm thinking of buying the xtouch mini. If you've already mapped a lot of stuff, maybe other mini users like me can edit the maps and add more devices.

By layers, do you mean Reasons controller groups?gullum wrote: ↑06 Nov 2019I got the X-Touch mini yesterday, so I decided to map it to use in Reason because the MCU in Reason is really bad and also would limit the way the Mini can work with Reason.

by layers I mean the endoders and buttons have several functions depending on what layer you are in
I have mostly mapped effect devices yet
Thanks for giving your remote maps here
If i do buy it, ill try to contribute the the maps

Very nice job!
I'm considering making remote mapping for the Behringer Motör, but (so far) have zero experiences with this.
Where did you start the process?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

I have had Icon Qcon pro and EX for a few years now, so I have been doing this for some time now.
if you download the files for mini they should work with motor too but you only get the encoders to work
you can open the remotemap file in a text editor and study them there, it is no magic and as soon as you get a hang of it it becomes very easy to map
these files have faders added for when attached to SSL mixer

Hey,
I bought a X-Touch Mini and I copied the files like described above in the post to the folders. In reason, I choose Behringer and X Touch Mini. Very easy...but unfortunately neither the transport nor the synth/effects react in a way. Nothing works. The LED Lights are moving, but no fader or parameter and it even does not move, when I try manually remote mapping.
Do I have to install some other stuff at at first or do I have to change some intern X-Touch Mini parameters to get it to work in Reason 11?

Hello, this is my first post.
I have an X-Touch Mini and would like to use gullum's remote map for it (by the way thank you for sharing). But I guess I need a suitable template for the X-Touch, otherwise the lua code won't work. Is it possible to share this template too? Or is there anything I am missing?
Thanks

I cannot say, as I just have an X-Touch mini. To some extent I got it working. It appears I have to use the Mackie Mode of the X-Touch which I had not yet try. So there is no template needed as it is "built in" in the device. It has just to be enabled.
But the remotemap does not work, i.e. I can assign the buttons and rotaries to Reason controls, it works for example with a Combinator and other RE but the mixer does not work.
Just to say that it was said right at the beginning of this post the zip file to download suits an X-Touch mini. But perhaps this just works on Mac, I am on Windows.
Anyway I shall experiment a bit more, but if I am not successful soon I shall end my endevour.

for the x-touch mini it should work just fine on windows too just need to put it in right folders.
Although I think you need to restart reason after you placed the files in the right place for it to work

it will work but there will be several not mapped faders and some buttons
Nice, thanks!

After I revisited my issue from November 2021 I finally understood how this remotemap works. I post this to help others if they want to use/understand this remote script too.
I have an X-TOUCH mini. All the remote files have of course to be properly placed on the computer.
One finding is the .lua script file contains excess defined items (I guess for other Behringer X-TOUCH hardware devices) and switches the X-TOUCH into "MC" mode.
I just wanted to use the controller for the mixer and had troubles as the most of the defined remote items did not work.
The "discovery":
The remotemap file contains a section/Scope for "Reason Master Section" and the entries for "Previous/Next Remote Base Channel" JUST WORK if the controller is "assigned" to the Master Section. This worked but then the section/Scope for "Reason Main Mixer Channel" DOES NOT WORK. The Scope is just active on a single "Channel Strip" and ONLY if the controller is assigned to the associated channel (again a right mouse click and assign). But then the binding to the "Master Section" is lost. I understanding was when the controller is bound to the "Master Section" then the mixer channels are bound too. WRONG.
Now after this findings I guess I have to write a full "Master Section" scope as I do not know how to switch the controller to the appropriate channel without binding it with the mouse when the "Remote Base Channel" is switched. Either lack of knowledge or it is impossible....

hi, i have read through most of the questions and answers here and have tried few suggestions. but i have a x touch one and the firmware version is 1.10 but if i downgrade it to version 1.04 the device does not get recognised on my PC (windows 10).sadly the lua and maps from Jaexx does not work. i have followed every instructions on the zip file that was there. i need help. please help me.
all i want to do is use the X Touch one to control the faders and pan without having to guess where the encoders is gone to. it will work on pan and then move to channel 2 it starts working on LPF. please help.
firmware upgrade and downgrade is not an option as the device does not work on any other versions only on the latest firmware.

I'm sorry to say that if you are not getting it to work with Jaexx mapping then you are doing something wrong.
Not getting an answer in 2 day for a controller not many people have in a thread that is about an other controller, then call it a crappy forum is not the way to get help.
