I might buy a Ensoniq VFX this weekend that is in decent condition. Does anyone here know how much it weighs? I have searched the Interwebz and found all kinds of information but not anything related to weight... I have a strong feeling that I might have to invest in another synth stand than the one that I'm using.

Should be pretty much the same as the Ensoniq EPS that is listed as 13 kg / 29 pounds.

I had both the EPS 16+, as well as a VFX-SD, and an ASR-10. I'd agree that 29 pounds (maybe 30) is where it's at.

Impressive! Back in the day I always wanted an EPS but couldn't afford it.
Do you miss them?

Used to have an EPS back in the day myself... I really liked it... Not really missing it now though... My DSS-1 though I’m still fond off... But not enough to actually pull out of the closet much... Used it mainly as a synth with those DWGS wave forms...

Oh I loved the EPS16+, and then the ASR10. Just fantastic sampler workstations! But I certainly don’t miss them - not one bit. They are waaaaaay too limited.

I used to have a Roland W-30. That was cool but even more limited than the EPS!
