Apple’s new Mac Pro

The real value proposition from Apple is the iPad and macOS. Ideally I would be able to build my own reasonable system and run macOS on it--this is where things get sticky. Apple's current product line doesn't have any Macs I am interested in, and the fancy Pro is no exception. I find it novel at best, and completely unnecessary at worst. If I ran Apple there would be three Macs: a desktop, a large laptop, and a small laptop. They would all have good keyboards.
