Nick didn't seem to impressed. Gaz liked it more. Seems like it's fallen short on some features & the connectivity. I think it's something that will evolve over time. But right now it seems like an awful lot of money for what it is. It's $999 here in Aus! I like Teenage Engineering's products though. They put out some interesting stuff.

Considering it’s four synths, a four-track drum machine with sample flipping, two effects sends with four effects options, a sequencer, a performance effects player, and a master mixer with compression and effects, all in a package you can carry in your coat pocket, I think it’s well worth the price they’re asking for it. It has a few notable weaknesses—spotty connectivity/sync with other devices, synth engines that need grooming, non-stereo delay, only one reverb algorithm—but it is an enormously inspiring device that leads to constant creativity. I’ve had it for about a month and just love it. It’s as much fun to compose and arrange on as it is to perform. It really is the perfect travelling companion for making music anywhere.

The OP-1's early OS was a bit limited. I expect the same with this. There is a hardware upgrade. Who knows how many Pocket Operators they can fit inside?

OP-Z meets 400 system ......... very cool. The CV module in the OP-Z is an interesting prospect.
