Best way to control ext synths with sysex?

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

I recently got a Roland D-05, which uses Sysex for a lot of parameter, and I was looking for a way to easily access them, but I had no experience of that, except dumps and I did some research.
First I found that most DAWS, Reason included, filters out midi messages, so to send sysex messages, from a pc with a midi interface, normal CC messages needs to be translated. Midi-Ox seems to be able to do that, but still I have to learn how to set it up.
Another option is to use midi boxes, like midi solution, this is said to be a better solution to free up internal pc memory buffer from the Ox way.
The other is Bome, which also has a software translator.
Then there is external controllers, where I found the most capables to be:

Doepfer Drehbank (pure fiction)
CME Bitstream 3x (very rare)
BCR2000 (very rare)
Novation Remote SL (60-100 eur used) (https://us.novationmusic.com/community/ ... -templates)
Roland A-01 (90-190 eur new) (can Sysex without a pc but only 4 encoders) (scarce fanbase)

Bome also has a Midi translator software available in classic and Pro edition
here is classic edition: https://www.bome.com/products/mtclassic

The purpose of this is to be able to automate some of this sysex parameters from Reason, in the first place, an external unit may sound good for accessing hidden parameters, but might still need a translator... anyone has some experience in this?

tnx
