I've been googling away on this topic and it seems it's in its infancy and a lot of guesswork is required for wireless midi and audio connections however with the mass of cables on my desk I'm going to have to test various combinations out on my pc.The Mac's seem to be slightly ahead on this subject.
Any body up to advice on this topic? I'd be very pleased to hear the needed tips to deliver a solid wireless alternative.

With wireless connections you're likely to have higher latency due to added signal processing and buffering to work around retransmission needs if a signal gets dropped.
