Got a quick demo of this new filter two days ago at Control and it sounded amazing. Looking for a stereo filter - may have found it.O1B wrote:Make Noise QPas
Ahahaha, YES! Thank you kindly for that Point Break clip (love that movie) made my day.

QPAS has nice resonance.O1B wrote:I don't think it will replace either.. not if you like the specificity of them.
The MORG is 6 to 12dB - so I think I want one of those, too. It's hard to come by. (alas.. the module is too deep for my uses)
The DiPole is 12 or 24 depending on how you DiPole. That's Nice.
True Global controls on the DiPole; But - Inversion, and ByPass/DRY makes the MORG killer, as well.
Dual Outs on the MORG vs QUAD or 5(MiX) out Makes this a Killer QUAD Resonator. Not a bad feature to have.
The In/Outs on the MORG are better laid out - IMO - but, there is more versatility with the DiPole.
Poor Global Parameters are worth mentioning.
IF the MORG is used in Stereo mode, is there a way to move Cutoff 1 and 2 simultaneuh - at the same time?
XFADE seems silly - or better served on some dual VCA circuit.
The QPAS is a Fixed stereo frequency... much less versatile. And, no Resonance??
The QPAS was just too blunt a filter for me. The MMG is more specific to my ears. I didn't get familiar enough with QPAS' specialties, though
I Trust SSF/WMD so I have to try this. The only thing missing is MORG's Dry/Bypass, and Phase INVert.
Pre-Ordered one - ... from Control. I may pre-order a second by the end of the day - before you!

May drop by Control this week to check out the Stereo Dipole in person. Will report back here if so!

I've been patching an attenuverter to both 1v inputs to create a global frequency control when needed.O1B wrote: ↑16 Mar 2019True Global controls on the DiPole; But - Inversion, and ByPass/DRY makes the MORG killer, as well.

The thing about the dry/bypass/invert is they only work on the mix out, and then it's a mono filter.
Thanks for the Heads up on the MONO thing. That's something I'd want to know. I'll just rig a switch to A/B then.
I've assembled the best filters I can. This - the Stereo DiPole is the last one. If this is it, and it is very 2019... Boom.selig wrote: ↑18 Mar 2019The thing about the dry/bypass/invert is they only work on the mix out, and then it's a mono filter.
The booster on Filter 1 is so extreme I've not found a good use for that, but at least it DOES work on the individual out.
And thanks for the head's up on calling ahead - didn't read the announcement thoroughly…
