I'm interested in this filter module from TipTip Audio. Good price as well;

Make Noise MMG [Retired] - Video below.

I had the QMMG. 2, in fact. Sold 'em. I now have a Pair of MMGs: (2 more for QUAD, if I can find them)
Image
- Multi-Mode Filter Smooth sweeping from High to Band to Low.
- AC with separate DC input? - Huh?! ..... yep.
- CV control over Filter MODE, Freq, and Rez - with corresponding Attenuators (2 BiPolar) - on board.
- LPG STRIKE input - :D - and - Accent
- Nice Saturation on Audio input if necessary.
- Creamy, Dreamy Resonance

A Pair for Stereo Movement is Awesome.

Got a quick demo of this new filter two days ago at Control and it sounded amazing. Looking for a stereo filter - may have found it.

+2.

if it has cutoff and q control can be controlled independently - via CV ...? BINGO!
I have the Borg 2. Proper.
I have two MMGs. BEATS a QMMG, IMO

but, the QPAS.... it's time for Lunch!
Gettin' me 2.

OK, I’ve bit the bullet and pre-ordered the QPAS from Make Noise (through the helpful folks at Control in Brooklyn). Will post a mini review here when I get my hands on it in a few weeks (mid Feb is the expected delivery date).

I think I'd rather have 4 MMGs than a QMMG or two QPAS.
I returned one QPAS to Control (Brooklyn).

The MMG's Strike is much more Potent, imo, than the QPAS's 'exclamation marks'.
And, the MMG's Resonance.... Proper.

QPas doesn't self-oscillate, ...?

I ordered a WMD Stereo Filter (OVERSEER). Sweep is 1-3Hz to 30-40kHz, i believe (depending on HP or LP)
Specs:
Unlimited LPF: 1Hz to 32kHz
HPF Cutoff Range (-3dB Fc)
Limited HPF: 3Hz to 12kHz
Unlimited HPF: 3Hz to 38kHz

Two of these would be ideal - if you wanted independent resonance control. (Ill try one first)

WMD Overseer:
Stereo Filter in 8HP
Two Filters
High-Pass and Low-Pass on one knob.
Stereo Tilt function with CV control
Bypass switch (action on release) for instant filter on/off control
CV over both filter's cutoff freq individually
CV over Resonance

Ouch!

OUCH!

Features:

12dB.octave state variable POLE outputs per channel.

Dual peak DIPOLE 12-24dB outputs per channel. May be routed in serial or parallel with channel specific POLE outputs. Any possible combination of HP/BP/LP is available via 3-way switches above the outputs.

Quad peak DIPOLE AB output sums all four filters to a single output, providing custom formant, phasing effects and beyond. Can be used as four voice sine wave VCO with individual and global frequency control.

Alone... Sold.

Fully Global. Fully Local. Pingable. 4 channel mixer. (Dipole B input.)
- a respectable 20mm deep.

Steady State Fate

$399.

OK, so would the Stereo Dipole replace my Morgasmatron, or my QPAS - or neither?

I don't think it will replace either.. not if you like the specificity of them.

The MORG is 6 to 12dB - so I think I want one of those, too. It's hard to come by. (alas.. the module is too deep for my uses)
The DiPole is 12 or 24 depending on how you DiPole. That's Nice.

True Global controls on the DiPole; But - Inversion, and ByPass/DRY makes the MORG killer, as well.
Dual Outs on the MORG vs QUAD or 5(MiX) out Makes this a Killer QUAD Resonator. Not a bad feature to have.

The In/Outs on the MORG are better laid out - IMO - but, there is more versatility with the DiPole.
Poor Global Parameters are worth mentioning.

IF the MORG is used in Stereo mode, is there a way to move Cutoff 1 and 2 simultaneuh - at the same time?
XFADE seems silly - or better served on some dual VCA circuit.

The QPAS is a Fixed stereo frequency... much less versatile. And, no Resonance??
The QPAS was just too blunt a filter for me. The MMG is more specific to my ears. I didn't get familiar enough with QPAS' specialties, though

I Trust SSF/WMD so I have to try this. The only thing missing is MORG's Dry/Bypass, and Phase INVert.
Pre-Ordered one - ... from Control. I may pre-order a second by the end of the day - before you!

QPAS has nice resonance.

May drop by Control this week to check out the Stereo Dipole in person. Will report back here if so!

Much appreciated, Selig.

And, I really wanted a "Mastering/Last Chain Stereo Filter from the QPAS ..
- the way of de-linking stereo controls on the QPAS isn't as seamless as the MMF-2 or the Stereo DiPole.

"The QPAS filters have a Slope of 12db/Octave." from the Manual so, it's nice and open (vs 24dB)
I'd prefer 1-2 pole (1 preferable) highs vs using Saturation/Rez to "introduce" high frequencies.
- No mention of the QPAS frequency response/Range anywhere. interesting...
Mine didn't seem to close fully (LP) nor open up and let all the high frequencies through... that's why it 'felt' 24d-36Bish.

I'm praying the DiPole the One... well, Two.. Then, bye-bye mono mixes! Time for Stereo Moveement.

Call ahead..,The SSF Stereo DiPole is not in Stock yet!!

I've been patching an attenuverter to both 1v inputs to create a global frequency control when needed.

The thing about the dry/bypass/invert is they only work on the mix out, and then it's a mono filter.

The booster on Filter 1 is so extreme I've not found a good use for that, but at least it DOES work on the individual out.

And thanks for the head's up on calling ahead - didn't read the announcement thoroughly…

Perfect solution. Absolutely. I'm a fader addict so ... just checking if 4 are in stock for just such occasions:
SSSR Labs SM800b Wobla 3HP each..

"Wobla has three different ranges of operation: linear 0...5 Volts, linear 0...10 Volts, and the special bell-shaped range giving the maximum output voltage (≈5 V) at the center position of the slider, allowing to perform so called wobbles in a very fast and predictable manner. So, it fits perfectly to wave shapers, VCA, VCF and other modules affecting the sound articulation."

Thanks for the Heads up on the MONO thing. That's something I'd want to know. I'll just rig a switch to A/B then.

I've assembled the best filters I can. This - the Stereo DiPole is the last one. If this is it, and it is very 2019... Boom.
If not, I'll use what I have and get busy.

Still #1: So... so ... RADIO.
