BRUH. If this isn't a tease/prelude to Reason iOS...
There's a new gadget in town...

Looks pretty cool. Always great to see Propellerhead collaborating with other companies.

Props have been drinking red bull. First a vst, now this. Exciting times.
Seeing this makes me think that it would be great to see an export to Reason option in gadget!

My first thought was that it would be cool to see those extra features from the gadget version to the Reason version idk what that one feature is, but it looked like a visualized one shot
Like when you trigger one part of the Rex look, it looked like the boxes displayed which part of the loop was being triggered
Sure would be cool to see that!
Unfortunately I don’t have an iPad and don’t see myself leaving reason to make music :p but I am happy to see this being done

I'm liking this!
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
It does look nice. The only reason i would ever buy an ipad would be for ios Reason. Touchscreen reason... yum.
I think you mean the performance mode ("Perf" in top right corner) where you can play your slices either using pads or keys?scratchnsnifff wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018Like when you trigger one part of the Rex look, it looked like the boxes displayed which part of the loop was being triggered
They wouldn't make much sense on a monitor, also because Reason still doesn't support multi-touch

Yes that’s what I meant, but maybe when you us your midi controller the boxes would display which part of the sample were being played. So they would be an oscilloscope of sorts.antic604 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018I think you mean the performance mode ("Perf" in top right corner) where you can play your slices either using pads or keys?scratchnsnifff wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018Like when you trigger one part of the Rex look, it looked like the boxes displayed which part of the loop was being triggered

That does make sense though it does seem to be a more of a tablet/touch screen feature

Looks like it is NOT available as a VST yet, but is only available in Gadget itself....Sorry to be misleading by posting this here, but it is still an interesting development.
Well:
http://www.synthanatomy.com/2018/07/kor ... adget.htmlDr. Octo Rex Loop Player will be also available as an VST/AU plugin for macOS in the future because all gadgets exist also as mac plugin.

Cool Akufen alike demo
Basically the pads option is a simplified NurseRex palyer from Kong IMO.
I wish the Nurse Rex would have a second page with more parameters of OctoRex.

Would be great if KORG would make Gadgets as REs in return.
Yeah...I said that "Looks like it is NOT available as a VST yet...."antic604 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018Well:

That would be awesome! I’d love to use some of their plugins as rack extensions
Maybe that’s In the works? Or maybe korg is just adding a third party to their personal collection.
I’ll hope that they step in the Re game again, the Re platform has grown so much since their two releases

I wish Korg would do the same thing on iOS and make all the Gadgets available as AUv3s. Gadget is fun, but I don't use it nearly as much as Beatmaker 3 now, and I'd be more inclined to buy new Gadgets like Stockholm if I could use them in other apps.antic604 wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018Well:

God it would be great if Korg came back to REs. Never understood why they only released two, but I'm guessing it just didn't make financial sense, or they weren't happy with the SDK.
They have so much to bring to the rack.
