Morning Selig,

About the CV, I believe you can choose one parameter - but - menu diving and - only 1 at a time...

vs TINRS Edge Cutter Control (outs) or Cwejman's ADSR-VC2's (ins)

But, the four in one plus linking plus plus plus makes this a    $450 must...

only about 10 more FX modules to research, and about 10 utilities, and i'll have the control i crave.

I wouldn't give up my PEG or Maths or Edge Cutter (just yet)

But, Quadrax looks like a 'must have' for pairing with the others. Thanks for the Heads up, PHeads!
As always, thanks for the thoughtful and detailed response. :)
The only issue you mention I'm not 100% sure about is CV control in Quadrax, which while not super intuitive looking DOES exist for any parameter (including an attenuverter). I'll definitely be getting a Quadrax if just for the function density (four env/lfo in 14 HP), but will also look at PEG for some of it's more advanced functions.

I'm now a proud Quadrax owner, man this is exactly what I needed for my setup. The bipolar LFOs are just icing on the cake, but a special shoutout goes to the new Vacillating mode, which gives great control over what is generally referred to as a "slow random". CV control is actually pretty simple, but I definitely needed the user guide to get started. Quadrax allows you to create a "both" input (like with Maths) to control the rise AND fall time together when looping.
Sharing one gate input for two (or more) envelops is also well implemented, with many variations beyond just "multing" the gate to multiple envelopes.
And I've not even touched on burst mode. Another excellent Intellijel product IMO.
Happy Patcher here! :)

Rebel Technology - Chronos MkII or, Χρόνος

- LFO - with TAP TEMPO - that slows/speeds up from the TAP speed.

Tempi, Maths, PEG do not offer this functionality.

- 4 Waves: 2 BI (sine or triangle) and 2 UNI (ramp or sawtooth).
- CLOCK In and Out
- DUAL/Stereo

Chronos MkI

Thoughts: The Clock speed is not as 'variable' as I'd like on Chronos.

Sticking with Tempi for tap - You just can't ("smoothly" :( )adjust the 'speed' of the tap w/Tempi - it's seems pretty coarse

Image

Keystep has two decimal places (Perfect) and (TAP) with Clock IN/OUT - so I'm hoping.
The OLDIE but GOODIE Kaossilator (Big RED) has TAP w/Tempo Adjust - over MIDI.

Behringer 140

I took delivery of a couple of these, and a few more to come.
I read the review of the Dual VCA (###?) - NOISE :puf_unhappy: - but, I HOPE  it was a one off!

The Behringer 140 Dual ENV + LFO Generator:
O1B-Behr140-Maths-x1.jpg
ENVELOPES
- Works as EXPECTED.
IN the image - Before I started SCOPING  :geek: :ugeek: the ENV n LFO...
- GRP ENV FOLL - Handles the Audio IN, and is outputted to CH 2 on Maths (MIXER)
- GRP's ENV OUT is fed to the 140's ENV 2 which makes a 'GATE' for Maths Channel 1 as a Tone Generator - matching the tone from Channel 2.
Nice DYNAMIC DE-TUNED BBASSS. (It sounds Different - NICER - than going straight into Maths)
:puf_wink: It really helps to have these 'modules' in your LAP. ;)

LFO
NOT BI-POLAR as the Label suggests.... oh well... [EDIT! - Sine and Try are BIPOLAR - Ramps/Pulse - UNI  ]
Speed to 30Hz max...
Works.
1V/OCT is useful.. (not tried)
I was hoping to trigger one LFO cycle at a time. Any module like that?
I haven't ' "removed the jumper" (Manual)... yet.

**** ONE ISSUE ****
When on FAST, and with the slider MAXED (TOP), the LFO seems to Malfunction (SCOPE)
The SCOPE suggests it slows considerably and predictably - as if the slider was all the way DOWN. :( :o  .
I'll give it a 'Listen' tomorrow - vs just the Visual
:lightbulb: :lightbulb: :lightbulb: EDIT: It's all GOOD. Scope anomaly. I Listened to it through Maths :lightbulb: :lightbulb: :lightbulb:

Happy Hunting!

Loving the Behringer Eurorack-Utilities.

140 - DUAL ADSR/LFO -
173 - Simple, Effective Multiple or Logic Gate
183 - Lots of Fun. Nice little ute.

I hesitated to get the sound makers (noise). Ive read things.
But, I may give the 110 (VF-O/F/A) a shot
maybe then, I can combine them into a Proper 6U XXXHP Rack.

"Quadrax owner"
Did you update to 1.2? Is that the newest?
How'd the module age for you?

I feel ready to pull the trigger, but, then I saw the banter about the bugs.

Thanks for any info.

I may have to do a re-assessment of Quad LFOs - past and present.

The Digital LFO thing in modular has so many 'noise' issues.
Nothing worse than - :!: - unwanted Noise in the Matrix...

I haven't encountered noise or bugs, haven't updated to the latest version (had trouble getting things to work as expected and gave up!). I still consider it a most useful module along the lines of Maths and Stages in that it does a lot, takes a little getting used to, but pays off because there always seems to be something useful it can add to any patch!

"I haven't encountered noise or bugs, "
- Good to Know

"haven't updated to the latest version
(had trouble getting things to work as expected and gave up!). "
- I read that updating was an issue - cable issues - so I hesitated to get a used one.

I still consider it a most useful module along the lines of Maths and Stages in that it does a lot, takes a little getting used to, but pays off because there always seems to be something useful it can add to any patch!
- That's the MOST IMPORTANT THING TO ME.

Thank You!

I've already gushed enough about it, but some of my favorite details are the LFOs are bi-polar so you can use the A/D looping to get unipolar "LFOs" and bipolar from the LFOs themselves. Also, the curve shape of the envelopes goes beyond even Stages to extremes, and IMO behaves better than Maths when looping the envelops - Maths changes the rate so much when you adjust the curve, plus you can go to such extremes on each end of the curve without affecting the loop rate on Quadrax. Plus with Quadrax there's four envelopes/LFOs!
And finally, my very favorite features is the newer LFO alt mode: Low Frequency Vacillator. I can't tell you how much this one mode made me a believer of the module. It's like random, but with more control. You can not only adjust the rate and slew, but more importantly the step size. Set to a low value, step size prevents the random function from taking big leaps, more like a random walk function. At it's max, ANY value could be the next value. And in between I feel I have such control over how random the results are. I use this feature for Cloud Terrarium for moving more interestingly through the wave tables than a standard slow LFO can do, and with QPas for slow modulation of the filter spread modulation (Radiate). In fact, right now I'm using all four envelopes in LFV mode, that's how much I like that feature! Normally two are used for actual envelopes for filter/amp, but been using Cloud Terrarium as an ambient drone so no need for envelopes.
Yea, I'm a fan boy… ;)

Intellijel Metropolix - Coming Soon!

I'll wait for the Bug Fixes, maybe - but  !

- "One of the biggest updates to the Metropolix is that it offers two separate pitch and gate outputs, corresponding to two tracks each derived from the main set of sliders and switches. "
- "Metropolix also offers eight internal Modulation lanes, which each offer eight stages of stored values and can be routed to the assignable A or B outputs, or a variety of internal parameters."
- "While Metropolix will remember its current state on power down, presets can be stored as well. Eight banks of eight presets..."
