Hello,
after 10 yers on Macs I decided to back to PC platform :) I built a set based on 8700k. Many things I forgot or probably have changed so that's why I'd like to ask you about a few things here.
Tomorrow I'm going to install Windows 10 Home on 512 SSD M.2 and my first question is whether to divide this disk into partitions as it used to be few years ago (standard disk C:, D: etc.) or do not divide at all? If divide, how big should be system partition? Comp will be used only for music.

I never use partitions, too much overhead and problems. Just get a second hd for your backups or large files. Having 2 backup hd is always a good idea too.

Yep, one smaller system drive, other physical drives for your files/installs. Clone your system drive once in awhile and you're all set.

I always partition
os on one drive
progs on another
data across other drives

Win10 home ? not if you want to use a lot of RAM or the all important turn automatic updates off...gonna need Win 10 Pro fer that
Win10 bolt on terminology and quibbles can be annoying....forced “important” updates like last week’s “important” Adobe Flash update can be a pita...make sure you get your fundamental monitoring CPUID and HW Monitor progs installed to help you out :-)

Been using partitions for half a decade. very handy and almost like splitting it into separate harddrives.

Thanks guys. Finally, I did not create any partitions :)
I have all installed now and after a few attempts to play I am very happy with the change. Windows/PC have a lot of advantages over Mac and I'm glad I finally opened my eyes. Especially when the Reason 10 passed all R8 Benchmark easily at 256 buffer size without any noise from the computer - in complete silence :)
But ... I encountered a problem with which I do not know how to deal with it.
I noticed that the processor speed is fluctuating from 800 to 4300 MHz while playing and this causes the DSP meter to jump up and down. Does any of you know where to look for the cause?

There are some settings in Windows power profile that’s need to be changed. Is ok now.

Hi,
Is there a way to get Reason in full screen mode?
