Hey reasoneers. I am looking for a Microphone with this Specs:
  • Hybrid of Cordioid and Figure 8 to make M/S recordings
  • 2 XLR outputs (one for each Cordioid and Fugure 8)
  • As cheap as possible
So far I found some but meh:
Picture 1:
https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/H ... microphone
Just perfect and the price is just awesome, but only for shitty ios devices. They have nothing like this with normal outputs like jack or xlr.

Picture 2:
A setup like that is also an option but this setup (by Schoeps Microphones) is way to expensive.

Has someone maybe something in mind?

As cheap as possible means reverb or ambient noise. Not many are in the M/S game, either.

Consider the H2n ... (The Roland R26 does this, but has been Discontinued.)
it monitors/records 4 channels L/R and M/S, at the same time. M/S has variable stereo width:

For better audio fidelity, the H5 or H6 are superior, but you lose simultaneous recording.
And, they cost a bit more, but you gain audio Ins for adding your own 'room' mics'.

See this vid for the M/S Matrix on the H5. Some users have this mic and may be able to help you if you're interested. I have the H6.

Good luck choosing your weapon. I'm interested in what you pick, whatever it is.

Your best bet is 2 separate mics with the desired polar patterns either using two separate stands or you could buy an attachment like this one https://produkte.k-m.de/en/product?info ... 0205326c57

The Rode NT2A is a flat, silent (noise) and versatile mic for a great price. And yes, you need two for M/S miking.

I would suggest the Zoom approach if you need a very portable solution, or the two microphone approach if you're inside and don't need portability (with the advantage of being able to use the mics for other purposes).

Thx guys for your replies, those are indeed pretty awesome microphones. But I am mostly interested in microphone with XLR output (or at least 6.35 Jack). I don't need devices with SD cards or stuff like that.

Sounds like you need a mixer - not m/s.

I have the yeti. It is stereo xlr. Can't get more stereo than that.
You'll need to plug it into a mixer...

That's what the H6 is! - as well as a microphone.
... So you avoid the mixer.... and/or the computer noise..... Oh, well,,,,

'Bout $250 and sounds swell. Maybe cheaper elsewhere

No i don't need another mixer. And as said before, I need a microphone with direct xlr output. The Yeti is a USB Microphone. I don't need a usb microphone. how do you come that it is Stereo xlr? it doesn't even support MS. you know. Stereo != M/S

Edit:
Ew sorry you were talking about the Yeti Pro. Ok yes that one has XLR out. But still Stereo != M/S

You sound new to M/S . A L/R signal can easily be reconfigured to M/S.
See: Red Rock Sound's Utility. or ScuzzyEye.

Im interested what other options you believe are out there.
(multiple XLRs out of a mic.... never heard of it... any examples you know of?)

Good luck, Bro man.

If course a R/L signal can easily be reconfigured to a M/S signal but don't think that this has the same result as recording with M/S.

Multiple XLRs out of a mic, if it has more than one signals to send? Why should that be unusual?
Anyway as said before: I don't care if it has 1 output for each signal or 1 output for both (Stereo XLR).

By now I found something what's exactly what i am looking for:
https://www.thomann.de/gb/avantone_ck_40.htm
this one has a Stereo XLR output and it even comes with a splitter.
The price is ok with €618 but I will wait 2 weeks. Maybe someone knows something similar but even cheaper

Nice choice on the Avantone.
...slumming for $100 mics when you had that up your sleeve. :?:

Great Drum Mic, I'm reading. Lots of sparkle.

Good luck, Bro man.
