Controllers, OSCillators, MIXER, Modifiers, OUTPUT.
My mono synth search is OVER.

Image
Killer, killer Filter... if you use nothing else on the unit, the Filter is Sweeter that the MF-101... much more control. w/two you have a HP/LP, zPlane, or Stereo Filter.

The D's filter gives off more transients than I can get out of my Resonators. And because it is HP OR LP (only LP on Moog?), you can really tune to the resonant locations - like with Funk-a-Duck, or Koma:
Image

The three OSC with independent tuning - AND ON/OFF - is a dream. it's what I've been looking for... (looking for noise, and sub - as well.) most other synths are dependent on the FIRST OSC - or, the OSCs have to be reset to be turned off (mBrutes) - losing your settings.
Image

Housing, Knobs and Switches all work... not Moog quality, but better than Arturia.I feel confident the unit will last for a while.

New life to my Korg SQ-1... I didnt even know it could do... that!!
Image

Having A440 at your fingertips makes things so much easier. as well.

Size and connectivity options make it no-hassle. There are 2 1/4 outs, a mix out, Main out, and a Headset out - so, No shortage of audio output.

Sweetwater and Musicians Friend synchronized the delivery.
So, now I'm running minimoogs in Stereo for $550 - or - one as a Sound Source, and the other an active filter. Ill give it two weeks, but I'm sure ll keep both.

(Sweet water seems sold out already, so these things are moving)
Up next : Neutron...., and the Arturia 2s for a proper step sequencer.

Ouch! Just checked. Gone in America unrtil mid-April.
20,000... Puff! (the 2nd won't be going back.)

Neutron ease should be awesome... Nyx for the LFOs.

Now... for that Behringer Moogesque Polysynth.
... just the resonator (well, three - all HP.LP.BP switchable) out of a polymoog filtering a Jupiter 8. AWESOME!

from flat synth (never heard that about a J8) to 'Trombone to Trumpet to Tuba...

....filters...

Just gotta comment on the video description: “three punchy oscillators” - how can an oscillator be “punchy”???

Wow! I only learned about Moog last June!
“three punchy oscillators”
..anyways... the lushness of those OSC... I only wish I had a 8-16 voicer.
It'd be hard to argue that an RE sounds like that in the advertisements.

punchy OSC...? true.. that's the job of those finely tuned envelopes.

but, the OSCs do deliver on sound, don't you agree?

What a golden time to get into synths, both hardware and software. :D
(And a great time to be buying second-hand guitars ;) )

No response... just schtick, I guess.

It does the Overload thing...

That sound... makes for a sinister laugh.

The Legend killed off any of my lusting for a Moog. But props to Behringer for putting the Model D out of production.

I have the VK-1, and the mini. Props to Blamsoft. Haven't gotten the 2.
Beautiful Synths..
Haven't tried the Legend, but it's striking... and, Synapse are my Peoples.

All three would be more $$$ than the Behringer D (from Musicians Friend)
I'm only REALLY learning Synth manipulation now, so you must be better than me.

One-knobbing RE/VST D's with mouse/keys or half-ass'd MIDI is no FUN, for me.

And, this isn't your Daddy's D. This D has CV.
I now have infrared CONTROL of the Cutoff, Loudness, MODulation, etc.. Image

You’re right having physical hardware is a lot more fun than staring at a computer screen. And they’re essential if you ever plan on playing live. I have a few hardware synths but I rarely use them.
