Jon, can you let me/us know the outcome? I use a 2i2 for some stuff. If the difference is negligible/negative, I'll stick with what I have. Thanks!

In addition to Attenuation's endorsement, I had also peviously written Focusrite support. They replied yesterday saying, "yes, it will work fine."

I stopped using the 2i2 some time ago because the driver would occasionally blue screen my machine (win 7 at the time).

But now I wish to set it up on another computer running Win 10. If nothing else, this 2nd generation driver is a few years newer, and one would hope, more "compatible."

It will be a week, or so, before I have a chance to set it up.

I haven't noticed warning during install the drivers. It says "Access is denied" when re-open the Control panel button in Reason/ Preferences/Audio
- this doesn't seem like it should happen, then again I'm not sure. A runtimebroker.exe windows 10 error?

Thanks Jon, might give it a whirl; luckily I have backup - and I can always roll it back if there's a problem. Thanks again.
