Ladies and gentlemen of the forum
Im trying to sort out my Akai MPK 249 out for live performance and have run into difficulties. Can you help?
What i'd like to do is use the 4 pad banks and split the keyboard into two.
SETUP AS FOLLOWED
Pad A- 1 Dr Octo
Pad B -Kong one shots
Pad C- Kong one shots
Pad D- Kong one shots
Keyboard split between two sounds
I'd like to use the first pad bank (A) to trigger drum loops from Dr rex for continuous play. Its took me a while but I’ve figured out you can use keys D#0- B0 for continuous loopage with D#0 being a stop.
I created a Combinator - A line mixer 6:2 - An instance of Dr Octo and three instances of Kong - I then programmed the combinator so that kong 1 key range was between c1-D#2, Kong 2 E2-G3 transposed down -16, kong 3 G#3-B4 transposed down -32.
I've not been able to get the Dr Octo in sucessfully. It keeps transposing or playing parts of the drum loops. And im at a total loss on how to get the keyboard in.
Potential ideas are: Locking seperate parts of the MPK 249 to different modules. Using the DAW navigation buttons.
Wow.. Thats been very difficult to explain.
If you dont get the gist then ill post screen shots.
Its driving me crackers.
Please help
