What is exactly rewire ???

Hi all

I was looking for a vst host for a while and as a reason user with rewire. So now i'm going to buy a studio one 3 license but i still wonder what is really possible with rewire.

I know you can sequence reason from the rewire host and get the reason's audio back and that's all I know. Am I missing something ???

I use ableton and Reason in rewire. Reason is like a big external vst for ableton in this case. Ableton is The master or host and Reason the slave. Download the ableton and reason demo for try, it works really well with no latency.

With rewire - no. It only allows for midi streams one way and audio streams the other way.
But you can export files of course.
