Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread
Hi. I'm new to Reason 12 (I used to use 5 a decade ago) and I'm new to a Nektar P4 which I bought this week.
To be honest, this entire thread is making my head hurt because I don't understand maps or coding or even a third of the stuff that the software and the gear are capable of.
I managed to get the Nektar working in Reason last night by:
1) Registering on the Nektar site and downloading and completing the drivers and firmware updates.
2) Adding Nektar control surfaces in Reason, one keyboard, one mixer. Both were ticked green.
I was trying to use some VST instruments but it said on the P4 that it wasn't mapped, so the controls didn't control it. It played the keys, but the knobs didn't do anything.
I found this stuff here about 2000 maps for Nektar, downloaded the file above, copied the original file to a safe place and replaced it with the new file.
Now, I can't use the Nektar as it says (in Reason):
Failed to load control surface: Nektar, Panorama.
Map File Errors:
Line 28: Undefined command.
I have tried deleting and re-adding the control surfaces in Reason. I have tried to re-do the "firmware" update I did last night, which completed again, but I still get the same problem.
What do I need to do?
Ps. Is it normal for the P4 to razz the motorised slider up and down when it is switched on? I can also hear a kind of clockwork-like clunking/deep ticking noise from the unit. Is this normal?

Yes because it's an automatic cleaning process for the Fader track and a check for proper operation.
When adding codes concerning various VSTs, it is necessary to check that the code concerning this same VST is not already present in the original Nektar file.
In this case, this makes the use of Nektar impossible and failed, like the message you indicate.
Thanks. It is good to know there isn't a fault with the keyboard. It was quite alarming when I switched it on and it kept happening. I don't have any booklet or starter guide as it's second hand, so I wasn't expecting it to happen.

One example: The FX Delay Retrazoo est present but in an incomplete or slight manner : it's progressive work requiring patience.
It's true that if you write something wrong, it paralyzes the whole thing from the Panorama.

Is there a master Panorama mappings file somewhere on here that I'm missing? Please help.
