Great!
I'm curious about that controller! Do the motorized faders adjust automatically when you exceed 16 tracks, like the panorama? Or are the 16 channels fixed.
Thanks

They adjust as I move right in 8 ad a time so if I have Channel 1 - 16 and go 1 bank right they become 8-24 and so on.DNGmaestro wrote:

Because of the Remote map is based on the Mackie Controller I can get any info on the EX display.
The Makie controllers are extended by midi cables so the Main is on port 1 and extenders are on port 2-3-4 and I can't set the Qcon EX to operate on port 2.
Now I'm trying to reprogram the lua file to se the EX as connected so I can get some info on the Display .
I have remapped everything in the Remote map (Input Gain, Dynamics, EQ, Inserts, Send and Mastering Channel) to display on the Qcon Pro Screen. I can do 99% of the SSL mixer from the Qcon pro alone

Great looking setups and rooms friends.
Love seeing some classic synths around like the AN1X on page 1.
Also love the 3 monitor setups!

I'm scouting round for some kind of pedestal desk now as my nasty cheapo chipboard flatpack one is actually starting to disintegrate so I'm trying to find something that's actually a decent bit of furniture in it's own right.
I ain't posting any pics until I get that nasty thing replaced for sure.

Do you have an Ikea where you live?Ostermilk wrote:I'm scouting round for some kind of pedestal desk now as my nasty cheapo chipboard flatpack one is actually starting to disintegrate so I'm trying to find something that's actually a decent bit of furniture in it's own right.

I can show you a desk I built for around $150
Adjustable Height Legs and under desk Frame $69
White Counter Top 30"x66" $19
Diagonal Monitor Stands $20
File Drawer Slides $30
LUMBER $30
Several other additions but go to ikeahackers.

Thanks that's cool info, but I have to get it past my internal aesthetics department so I'm likely to be going for something like this to repurpose.freeQlow wrote: Do you have an Ikea where you live? I really appreciate the input though.

Take top 3 drawers out and adjust the partitions between drawers.
Do what you want but that could instantly clear your work surface.

Exactly, and she still gets a piece of furniture and I get a more usable workspace.freeQlow wrote:Take top 3 drawers out and adjust the partitions between drawers. Do what you want but that could instantly clear your work surface.

But it's never a good idea to hang guitars onto exterior walls. The necks won't like the variations in temperature (inside vs. outside) over the year – trust me!

Thanks for the warning. I'll have to watch that closely. The room has central air/heat with humidity regulation, and it seems to stay between 65 and 70 all year, so it might be OK. The windows themselves vary by temperature to the touch, but the walls seem well insulated. I hate to put them all back into their snug little cases.reason2dance wrote:...This is great place for a studio! But it's never a good idea to hang guitars onto exterior walls. This isn't my "studio", it's my gear for liveacts. My studio is just a desktop with Reason, tc electronic Desktop Konnekt 6, an Axiom keyboard, the KRK monitors, and a mic + various acoustic instruments for when I feel like using them (A fender acoustic guitar, a couple of flutes, harmonica, and occasionally a borrowed cello)
As for the live rig:
I'm sad to say it, but the Future Retro XS will probably not be staying. I'm looking to trade it for an Analog 4. I absolutely love the sound of the XS, but I'm just not taking my XS when performing, since it doesn't have its own sequencer or keyboard, and I'm not looking to have more gear to carry to gigs, I'm looking to carry less.
I write acid music in Reason and perform live on a bunch of machines without computers.

It IS Heaven - "hell" is the basement studio! This is an old church BTW, and the golden stained glass windows make it definitely feel like Heaven. And the basement studio, being in the basement and totally windowless, is definitely "hell"!Julibee wrote:

This room was also featured in an episode of "Nashville" last year when I was here, where you can actually see my Gretsch kit in a few shots!
