Post a pic of your studio!
my extreme low budget potato setup. i made the desk from a 8ft. craftsman butcher block. it's setup so that i can stand or sit down without having to adjust anything.
Here's a few photos of my setup, with some descriptions

Love that tall monitor in the middle. What are the dimensions of that monitor (height and width of the actual screen in inches)?QuantumHarmonics wrote:Quantum Harmonics Studio.jpg

All 4 monitors are 21.5 inch , the middle is turned on its side , ideal for the ssl mixer and webpages.Creativemind wrote:Love that tall monitor in the middle. hee hee thanks... looks like the slide show has been removed long ago though... changed things a bit to give more room for playing guitar and bass if someone was to drop by for a jam...will take a revision picture or pix soon... just finished getting the old tech and new up and functioning again and re positioned some work stations... still crowded by some room to breath nowaeox wrote:that place is magical!moneykube wrote:slide show here... https://www.dropbox.com/s/zfsgzl9dmu0vt ... w.mp4?dl=0

i was referring to the 10 posts worth of images before that post
Had to do a stitch image, but left to right,
Gaming Phones, Panorama P4, M-Audio cheapo Monitors, Triple screen Reason on Main PC, Focusrite 18i8, Babyface Pro, ICON Platform M, RRLGR running on the Surface Pro with a second screen, Scuffham S-Gear on the Surface screen, Line6 FBV Shortboard on the floor, Gibson Epiphone Acoustic on the wall, KRK KNS8400 Monitor Phones, Gibson Les Paul on the Stand, Fender Heartfield Talon 2 in bits on the bench for an upgrade, nylon acoustic in the distance.
Workspace;
Guitar Rig:
The wicker boxes are full of cables... mostly in a huge knot. Sigh.

That is one long-assed desk. You need a motorized chair. If you get one, be sure to wear your helmet. The one with the sticker.Redster wrote:

Love the blue lights, too. Very moody.

This is my humble studio with a clean and minimalistic setup.
I work here every day arranging and producing music for other artists I record In a studio facility and then I bring back here for mixing.
I work 100% in Reason. The only thing I sometimes do outside Reason is edit drums, percussion and multi-channel related instruments. I use Pro Tools for that because of the channel grouping and crossfades abilities in the timeline. (Hope Reason 10 bring this to the sequencer!!!)
It's a 2.1 speaker system.
In the front wall I have all rockwool panels, made by myself.
The main computer feeding the 27" Thunderbolt Display is a 15" MacBook Pro Retina Display.
Things have changed a little after that pic, now de BCR2000 fits in between de Mackie Control and the extender (control at left, extender at right) leaving more space beneath for my mini Akai key and the computer keyboard.
I also have a M-Audio Axiom 64 I use when I have to program more keyboard related stuff.
My BCR with a custom remote map and overlay I've found online, is the key part of my mixing setup inside Reason, having the possibility to control all the knobs and buttons of the selected SSL mixer channel. That setup is new and I'm planning to print the overlay into an adhesive plotter cut by laser in the near future.
Peace.

Here's mine. This is in my basement so it's always dark and that's just how I like it.
