HEY, interestingly enough you can see my building in that picture (and my GF's office building!), and I roughly know where that photo was taken from - but sadly new construction has dramatically changed that view! :(

Is this your studio (and can I stop by to say hi)? Did you record here? Is this you in the picture?

What's that there on the far right monitor?

The monitor on far right is specifically for the Mackie d8b... has it's own Intel 233Mhz (yes proper old skool!) 19in Desktop PC with MackieOS to specifically drive the desk. Actually recently upgraded the desk to fully unlocked so got $1.4k of plugins (yes they still cost that! even though d8b discontinued!) for a measily $333 :D Drawmer, Acuma Labs, Massenberg... plenty of plugins on top of our main DAW system...

We need to redo the pic since we've actually added more to the setup...

E-MU 5000 sampler
Novation X-Station
Arturia Microbrute
Korg Microkorg
Native Instruments Maschine :D
MS20iC controller (never have we had so much fun making a softsynth sound so freaking phat!)

This is 6 years ago, before getting the Sonic Core XITE-1D - then below that 4 years ago, got the XITE-1D !

Since the start of this year, everything is done in the box @96KHz. Reason 8.3 arranging and mixing, XITE-1D Mastering (and a synth or two). Some of the older outboard stuff in rack now redundant as they don't work too good at 96Khz.

Here's my studio. Well, it's not purely meant as a studio, more as a mancave with all its implications: A couch, seats, a table, old TV, old gaming consoles (currently ATARI 2600, SEGA MegaDrive, SNES, GameCube, PlayStation 2), board games, all the music stuff, computer for working and producing, fluffy carpets, and so on...

In case you wonder about the unusual placement of the monitor speakers... I rarely make music alone. It's mostly jam sessions with 1 - 3 more people. The speakers are placed far from each other, so everybody can hear themselves play.

. Theres an Alesis AI3 ADAT converter, I know I can SMUX it to 96K but its not reliable.
. I have a TC Electronics TripleC multiband compressor, wont work at 96Khz, besides I have a better one in Scope.
. A Kenton plugstation with 4 Yamaha PLG boards. ADAT works at 96KHz but only 4 channels means each synth is mono and unreliable.
. An Alesis QSR Rack synth - has ADAT output

The sounds on these synths I rarely need due to having all I need now in RE format. Particularly the DX board in the Kenton redundant due to PX7 and the PLG150AN analog modelled synth redundant due to Scope synths.

Either I have all the sounds or ADAT is now a pain when operating at 96Khz - SMUX is just too fiddly to route or unreliable.

4 PLG cards?
Did you ever try doubling up the AN150?

I was curious if it could be done.

I have the AN and Dx 150 in my CS6x

I have a friend who is looking for some ADAT gear. He put a lot of vinyl out back in the 90s and is wanting to get his old tunes back out for remixes.

You selling anything ?

Selig, so you live/work in the NYC area? Just curious. I'm in the area too. Once the major artists and labels wake up and recognize my raw unbridled yet unrefined talent I'll need to call in all the support I can get ;)

Almost thought i seen a bunch of Elektron in your pic.

As long as you play banging music and have fun, that's all that matters.

Looks like an accountants desk!
