Budget sound card advice wanted.

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

The Behringer USB2CONTROL might also be an option. With this you could also add a pair of proper studio monitors later on and also have decent headphone amplifiers.

I just want to make sure how the keyboard is connecting to reason, using something like the Behringer umc202hd.

Keyboard powers and sends data via its own usb to pc.

I'm not expecting zero latency but I do want latency that is equivalent to that of 10 years ago with a delta 1010. This is why I am not using the soundblaster z. it would send the data but provoked no audio. I was lost and no one seemed to know how to solve it.

If it's USB sound card I would suggest the new models by Behringer. I use this card for 4 years without any problems...
