Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

I have upgraded my M2 Mac internal SSD to an External SSD Samsung 980 Pro 2tb.
Speed tripled. Internal was 900 now is 2700 rw

Installed the Sonoma brand new, cleaning everything and reinstalling.
After install I had to reinstall the MOTU legacy drivers and for that I had to disable security checks at
disk utilities at boot level.

Surprise Surprise Ext OS Apple won't allow disabling security options.
Double wham. On the MOTU FORUM for Ultralite Firewire M1 Mac page, this issue
was posted just the post after I wrote that I solved my issues with the M1 Mac mini and my Ultralite
was working... So it suggested to install a second OS on the Main internal Drive just for the Ultralite to keep working.
And I just did that.

So now I have two OS, one with the Ultralite, Reason, and everything music production related,
and another OS on the EXT 2Tb new, faster SSD, with just everything else.

I solved my problems with space momentarily I had previously to the extent I had to uninstall Reason 12 because
Internal SSD was out of space, but it was not as expected.
To boot in the Music Pro OS I have to cycle the power button each time, and still I am limited by the 256gb size
of the internal SSD. Of which almost 100gb are for Reason.

So, unless you have old HW that necessitates legacy drivers with security lowered, going the
Ext OS SSD on Silicon Mac, it's actually very good.

Thank you. If I understand correctly, all music related apps are on the internal os, but if you didn’t have the old sound card you could have run everything off the external, including reason etc?
