My small and humble bedroom studio which i just redid for a fresh start in a new year.
(I know its miniscule in comparison to other's setups, but hey it gets the job done...gotta be proud of your equipment however small it is πŸ˜‰)
Happy New year 2023

New screens setup. I used to have the two smaller screens side by side, but now using one in portrait-mode specifically for the rack. Hitting the 'rack' button on a mixer channel instantly moves the related rack in view. What other DAW can give you a tracking and mixing environment like this :puf_bigsmile:

Nice. I’ve also got a portrait display for the rack and, yes, just clicking on the Rack button makes navigation so simple. I use a 27” iMac for the mixer/sequencer, I’ve not found a need to divide those between two screens though. I’ve also got a large mousing mat so I can get to either screen in a single sweep. I should take a pic. :)
Reason user since version 1 (I recently stumbled upon my version 1 license card)! Getting back into making music after too long a hiatus.

I actually do agree with you, the screen below the big one is only there because I used to have a setup with two similar screens side by side. This was back when I still used Reaper. Then I added the big screen to have space to have several VST windows open during mixing, still with Reaper. I also wanted the big screen to have enough screen real estate for bigger VCV-rack patches.

Then I moved to Reason, and using Touch Portal for quick navigation of the Reason screens, I mainly used only the big screen with Reason, especially with the new hi-res graphics. So, my current setup is basically about looking to find uses for the screens I have

Not so much a studio than a corner of our front room. That said i am happy to have a space to create music and i am sure there are others in a similar situation.

The notepad is used to note down ms times for 1/8 notes etc and is a new addition that came in a christmas Cracker

Nice, another minimalist with Ableton+Reason workflow πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
But at this point just get a nice macbook instead of a desktop...you know.

I'm too looking at having to buy a new computer, but a Mac is awful expensive.
I'm sure it is going to be a PC again, and when I have the funds for it, hopefully an i9 CPU with loads of ram LOL

I have a Push2/Ableton 10 suite too, and run the Push2 with Reason 12 with PusheR2 software - a beastly combination!
Greetings from Miyaru.

The new Mac mini, Samsung 27", and Reason 12 are settling into the corner of the studio, inbetween the basses on the wall and the Alesis drums.

Nice & clean. I find it inspiring working in casual micro-studios on the go, like in a ferry cabin with my Macbook & Korg nanokey, or on a bus. Changing setting every now & then is inspiring to me.

In my home studio I do have the advantage of this highly mobile self-adjusting attention-seeking acoustic treatment:

I have this backup too:

Ha ha did you see the sign, the cat really is the boss.

His favourite trick is stealing my chair so I end up kneeling or standing at the desk or tapping my pc mouse off the desk when he wants something πŸ˜‚

Chair stealing, keyboard walking, ankle biting, making sounds to indicate starvation death is near: minor obstacles here.

Bloody cats. Our older one just dribbles and begs for attention. If you give her attention she rewards you by shaking her head and sharing the dribble.
