Keys and pads to separate instruments??? Nektar

Want to talk about music hardware or software that doesn't include Reason?

So I got a Nektar LX88+
So I got pads and key and I want to lock the pads to a Kong
But I can only choose mixer mode to lock on Kong, that does not work.

Want to play the keys on another combinator and the pads locked to the Kong
keep those pads locked out, so they won't trigger my combi instruments.

I am trying to setup the Nektar to have keys set to midi channel instead of global and same for pads
But I don't know how can I tell kong or combi to listen only to that channel

I thought to create a midiloop port as keyboard input, and then through midiox
take the midis from the Nektar pads and reroute them to the midiloop port locked to the kong,
but midiox gives me an error that memory is unsufficient when I try to add the Nektar...

Maybe the process is similar using other keyboards as well.
I'm sure I've done it in the past but I do not remember how and certainly it was not the Nektar I was using.

Any idea what I might get wrong?
tnx.

Obviously Nektar says is possible

Problem is... I do see only Mixer mode!

So it was done, after fiddling around for a while I was able to specify a midi channel to the pads section (well individually really). Save the preset. Exit setup menu.
Than I could select from the bus section in Reason which midi channel to lock on.

How's the keybed for a synth user, not a pianist?

I'm not really sure if there's a difference but you could also create a new control surface to lock to kong instead of the bus
