My wife Elaine has stage 4 cancer. The doctor said she had 3 to 6 months of life left. She is too weak for chemotherapy, which would only add 3 to 4 months of life "if" it worked, and there is a low probability of that. She has been in hospital since last Wednesday, as they adjust her pain / nausea medications, set up pallative care with oxygen, and longer acting pain medications > for her final days. She will come home around this Wednesday or so> if all goes well. I have been driving into city through blowing snow, slick ice roads from hell to see her ... but tomorrow night another 5 centimeters of snow is coming. So there will be two days I can not see her. Monday and Tuesday. She is feeling very alone, anxious, scared and in shock. I am trying to contact her friends in that city to visit her perhaps for the last time.

I can't imagine what you're feeling right now. I pray she is comfortable and that you have the support you need during this time. May her remaining days be easy and filled with love and peace.

Stay by her side as long as you can. It's the best thing you can do. I know and understand—life isn't always fair.

Thank you all... Everything is almost set up for her return home, the bed, oxygen, and the Palliative care she needs, are all set up for tomorrow after our meeting with Palliative care at the hospital at 11 tomorrow... deliveries start mid afternoon after we return. She will be happy to be away from the hospital zoo. I thank anyone who prayed for us. It helped greatly.

I know what you're going through and it's hell and it's unfair but it's where you are. Show her how much she's loved, laugh as much as you can, share as many special moments as you are able and make all the memories that time will afford you, because it's all those memories that will help you through when you need them.
I wish you both much strength.

Thanks everyone. My beautiful wife Elaine Pain , passed from this world into the Loving Arms of Jesus at 6pm Friday. I was with her, and she was comfortable during her transition from this life into the next. Thank you all for your many prayers, kind words, assistance, and your support > throughout this difficult time. It is comforting to know that her pain is finally gone.

So sorry, man. Don't forget to get you a support group as well. Her journey may be the more physically painful, but you will need others who know what you are going through in your corner. Love and peace to you and your family.
