OK. I wasn't able to find anything in the posts already, but I am pretty sure this has been asked before.
I want to do TikTok live. I want to create about 3 or 4 loops that are 4 measures in length.
So one loop has a 4 chord progression, and so do the other 3, to be able to add choruses and change things up.
Is there a way to create multiple 4 chord loops so that I only have to hit a button to jump to another without breaking the flow of the music?
Thanks in advance
Reason for live performance - creating more than one loop

You could make three or four rex loops (right click an audio file with slice loops -> bounce to rex file), put them in the Dr. Octorex player slots, then play them smoothly in the Dr. Octorex player by clicking those slots.
You could change the timing of the triggering of the next loop by choosing between Bar, Beat, and 1/16 under "Trig next loop" on the top left-hand side of the Dr. Octorex player.

hey thanks for the response.. I just spent about an hour working on bouncing my wav tracks to dr octorex... this is some of the most clunky crap I have ever seen.. you can't even just put a track in the dr octorex.. you need to slice edit the crap out of it, which is a complete and total waste of time and unnecesary.wowhow wrote: ↑13 Nov 2024You could make three or four rex loops (right click an audio file with slice loops -> bounce to rex file), put them in the Dr. Octorex player slots, then play them smoothly in the Dr. Octorex player by clicking those slots.

There has got to be a better way of doing this

Hmm you don't really need to slice it; The WAV just needs to be in slice mode.
If you just need the loop and don't need to beat juggle you should:
1. right click the WAV file
2. check if time-stretch is enabled
3. drag the wav file to a desired length while holding option ( ex. 4 BARS so it loops smoothly)
4. Put WAV into slice mode (leave the slices where they are)
5. Right click -> Bounce to REX
6. Drop the REX file into one of the slots
You can also beat juggle by copying the notes to the lane and then altering the notes.
You can also beat juggle in Ableton using simpler.
PS.
You can make a combinator with switches (you can make up to 32 switches) and make an Ableton-like clip launcher
by putting a bunch of rex players in the combinator. You will then have to go to the controller and set
[source] to [switch 1] and the [target] loop [Min] -1 [Max 0]
for turning slot 1 on and off.
[source] [switch 2] [target] loop [Min] -1 [Max] 1
for slot 2
[source] [switch 2] [target] loop [Min] -1 [Max] 2
for slot 3
and so on and so forth until you have 32 toggle switches for a clip launcher.
It takes some time but it's fun once it's made!
You can use the other knobs for effects/macro effects or clip launching with knobs instead of switches.
The knobs can be set so that you can cycle through 8 slots with 1 knob by setting [Min] -1 and [Max] 8.

Here's one I made using stock sounds from Reason!

I mean, why not? I already have Reason and don't want to spend $400 on Ableton. I am saving up for a loop station like the RC505...
thanks for the well arranged message.. this is a big help

Yea! You're welcome.
I really like reason so it's fun to share what I've found out about the program.
And yea! RC505 sounds awesome too.
Oh, by the way, I found this for live looping instruments:
https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/artic ... ssion-View
I've never tried it but it sounds like you can do what you're trying to do with RC505.
I think you could do it with Ableton intro with up to 16 tracks.
As a bonus, you can also easily drag/drop wav files into syncable loops, arrange them in different orders, and put macro effects on them for live playing - you could even load up the Reason Rack Plugin to showcase what Reason visually offers via sharing your computer screen while you play live.
