So.....by spending more time on music, practising various instruments and spending time in Reason,
you earned 369 USD in 6 weeks
which divided by 6 weeks is 61.5 US Dollars a week
Multiply by 52 weeks in a year

Equals $3198 USD to spend

Yes, I can see how this will keep your GAS in check... :?
Dude if I was somehow able to do the impossible and get my lazy ass to retain this level of discipline for a whole year, then yes those $3198 are mine to spend. And I’d spend those $3198 with a feeling of pride too.

TA, I've never considered you to be a lazy ass as you've been probably the most prolific tune maker here.
Btw, as I wrote earlier in the thread, I think it's a neat concept you came up with and I'm in the process of doing something similar. I'll maybe post later about the tweaks.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes you should totally try it, of course with modifications that fit you.
For the last 5 years I really haven't been very disciplined about music, at all. And that has been intentionally. I got pretty burned out using discipline as my method in the past. The last couple of years I've had a way more relaxed approach compared to before. I've usually done very short sessions in Reason, but I've done them often, sometimes on the same day if I've felt like it. 10 minutes here. 20 minutes there. Doesn't require much effort at all. But doing these mini sessions many times on a regular basis really add up in the long term.

These 6 weeks of using this "Trying out a new system to keep GAS in check" method has been an exception with way more active music time than usual. And that was because I had a very specific purchase in mind. And I wanted to buy it NOW! I don't plan to keep that level of intensity up. But like I said I still liked the method for the most part. I will keep using this system for now, only now things will be at a slower rate. Maybe I will actually keep my GAS in check.
