The #1 motivation for getting YouTube Premium is removing ads.

But now, most content creators include ads (promos) in their videos.

YT Premium customers still suffer another consequence of ads - appeasing the algorithm and advertisers.

And self-censoring.



To monetize a channel via ads, content creators have to censor profanities and "unpleasant" words from their videos (otherwise advertisers will not show ads on their videos).

But if you pay for a Premium subscription, you still have to watch the crappy censored version.



And because uncensored videos produce less ad revenue, YouTube penalizes them, which forces content creators to make their content crappier for everyone.

Nebula and or Patreon is where the ad free, unfiltered videos are at. I don't care about in video ads cause they're easy to skip. The L and J keys or double tap on the phone either side skips by a few seconds and you can tell where the ad ends so ‍♂️. Some channels make those ads into funny bits thus becoming watchable like the awesome "some more news".
