So 2023 is soon coming to an end. Has it been a creative year?
How many tracks have you finished during 2023?
I know everyone has a different definition of what "finished" means. Define it however you want. For me personally it's a song that I consider complete and I won't make any further changes to later on.
Since there's still some time left of the year, I think it's ok to include songs that you know you're gonna finish before the year ends. You will also be able to update your option in case your song amount changes.

by FAR my most prolific year. 21 songs released this year, by my count.

I started out the year inspired by King Gizzard’s firehose-level of output, and made a conscious commitment to be more productive than my usual like 2 or 3 songs a year. really happy with how almost all of them turned out.

the ultimate kick in the pants was the RPM Challenge this year—got a full 10-song album out of that, with some very fun tunes, and a few touching ones. one of my favorite songs I’ve ever done ended up coming out of that. looking forward to doing that again for 2024.

okey. i am not sure if this is correct but according to my windows explorer's search which has found 32 songs... this means i have created this year 32 songs.
well, not much but also not so few. but none of them were released officially. i do not know what i am waiting with releasing my music. eh... let me give it some time. i shall see next year what to do. and as always... what you all already know... my postproduction process is not that good - meaning i am not good at mastering. mixing is okey, not that problematic at all although it is very boring to do it. but mastering. hehe.

well, this means almost 3 songs per month. nyah.

ps: in windows explorer i search my whole RNW folder for *.FLAC files (FLAC files are final meanwhile WAV are not) created in period from 1.1.2023 til today. ths means i have not included previously created songs and were finished this year. as said... not accurate result. but anyway... cca. 32 songs. okey let's say 40. hehe.

I did 7 getting them to mixed and 'mastered' (doing the best I can in Ozone) and being happy to share them out to people. I've also edited some other tracks that are now finished but need dedicated time for SSL treatment and out to Ozone but finding time for the boring stuff is hard :geek:

I reached 19 tracks this year. I'm very happy with that. A few of them has some minor mixing tweaks left. But I'll know I'll finish them in time before the year ends.
I'm particularly proud of the fact that I've managed to do full projects/EPs/mini albums this year. And the last and third of them will be released very shortly.

I’ve finished more tracks for other artists this year than for myself!
I did get out and play a few live shows this year, but that doesn’t count. ;(

It has been a very productive year for me: 2 tracks. Apart from the exception during the corona lockdowns, my average is more like <1 per year.

Same here, horrible writers block. I fire up Reason or some other program and just sit there and stare at it.

I'm glad the question is "How many tracks have you finished?" and not "How many are actually good?"

That would be a totally different number. :?

Changed my vote to two tracks. Got a second one just before the end of the year.

Well, production not completely done yet, but I'm counting it anyway :puf_bigsmile:
