What matters is the music, what remains is the music, all the focus on the artist as a physical person is not good for the music, the artist and his audience. I think artistic "integrity" should remain confined to the musical aspects and not personal, affiliation or anything else concerning the artist. So if a patron pays me to make my music freely, welcome.
