Time is irrelevant. You know in your soul if it’s finished or not.
How many songs did you finish in 2022?

Closing in on 4. But I only started up again late last month after many years off.
As long as I can stay healthy I might be in the "25 or more" camp next year.

so I toted up everything I released on my bandcamp in 2022 and there's 77 tracks that I recorded this year, and another 33 old tracks I remastered because the original recordings were shit and finally released. On top of that I have around 30-35 songs that still need vocals that I'm going to work on over the next few weeks. Annnnnnd.... I have an album of another 30ish trip hop songs I've slowly been adding vocal samples to that I'll release sometime next year when I'm done.
I honestly had no idea I've done so much work. It's nuts. I can't speak to the quality of everything that's there because I definitely have a throw shit at the wall and see what sticks, yeah that'll do kind of attitude at times. Anyway with so much material it's hard to pick an actual favourite so I'm gonna cheat and say -

also this is a song I'm really pleased with - https://rorystorm.bandcamp.com/track/moving. The whole album is great, I really was working it around then.
Lastly, I really love this whole ep - https://rorystorm.bandcamp.com/album/brothers-sisters. It's a sentimental favourite, five songs I wrote twenty years or so, recorded synthpop styles in 2020 and mastered this year. It sounds a bit shit production wise but the songs are fantastic. This is the direction I'll probably be taking over the next while.

- blatant New Order rip off with a 727 break in the middle, very 80s. In the glorious spirit of Bernard Sumner I deliberately sung out of tune and exaggerated my New Zealand accent. The late 80s house mix I did of that song is pretty bloody solid too.

Damn I didn't finish anything if I remember correctly, however thanks to my good friend Benedict Roff-Marsh I am progressing and learning and enjoying it along the way <3
Wow that's really cool, the vocals sit in such a good space in that mix and have a distinct flavour to them, sounds great!!
Thanks! Yeah I gave it a play this avo and I'm pleased with how it sounded.
Which Doom WAD?
I wonder if I heard it, maybe, when watching some Aquarius199 videos on Youtube...
