How many songs did you finish in 2022?

So it's soon been a full year. Let's take some time to reflect on our creative output from this year. We all have different goals and different amounts of time to spend when it comes to making music, so it will of course look very different for everyone. But it would be interesting to get an overall view.
In case it’s unclear what a ”finished song” means, just use your own subjective interpretation of what it means. Let’s not get too stuck in details.
Also if you want, feel free to post (in your opinion) your best or most interesting song from this year. And maybe a short comment on why it’s your personal favorite.

10 thousands of them!
Have no idea. Need to check via MS Windows Explorer.
I'll tell later. Now I am raving in my room with help of my latest two song "Sleep Walking" and "Upon My Throne"
Have no time to check! Raving is more important.
Mom went shopping in the store and I took the opportunity to go crazy.
Father is in his workshop on my previous laptop probably watching some YouTube videos.

Wow just checked and 33 in 2022. I knew it was a fair few late night sessions but that is more than I thought.
As for my favourite I would have to say it is my latest track (in signature below). I would say this is my favourite just because I still consider myself fairly new to music production (around 2.5yrs exp) and it is probably my most polished song yet.
Honourable mention to 48 Shades of influence track though as it was the first track of mine where I received external validation being played on some small community radio techno shows and a podcast.
I aim to keep learning and improving in 2023. 2022 has been a hectic year with covid and other stuff so creating these tunes certainly helped keep me happy and having fun during less than great periods.

I thought you said my output was a lot. You beat me with about 10 tracks.Popey wrote: ↑23 Dec 2022Wow just checked and 33 in 2022. I knew it was a fair few late night sessions but that is more than I thought.

2.5 years is a fairly short amount of time. You're doing good. Keep it up.

Perfect. Then 2023 will be the year where you take all those 4 bar loops and turn them into full tunes.

I counted 23 tracks. Some of them were very short though.
My personal favorite from this year is probably Frog Rituals. I took a very visual approach with that one, almost thought of myself more as a painter than a musician. And that was an interesting way to work.

I got two tracks 'kinda' finished this year, still have to do a better mix on both. But that is the exact number of tracks I started this year and got time for, so my track-finishing ratio is 100%

Yep surprised I created more as your output is fairly consistent.TritoneAddiction wrote: ↑23 Dec 2022I counted 23 tracks. Some of them were very short though.

I think your stuff is fantastic quality though so if it were a competition (which it is not) I am handing you the award .
I only managed to more or less finish a few tracks. The only one I released is this one where I went for a future pop vibe and made good use of BLG: https://demozoo.org/music/311598/

Ten released on Future Human, eighteen released on the Please Be Happy OST, six released for a certain Doom WAD soundtrack (plus one remix of one of those), four more released in a few days as an EP, two contributions for another soundtrack project, at least nineteen more finished for unreleased projects, and six old tracks remixed for a future release.
So... around 65 tracks? Not all of them were started this year, but a good chunk of them were, and all of them were finished this year.
edit: I forgot the Supplice tracks... three original compositions finished there, plus seven arrangements. So make it 68 if we're counting original tracks only, or 75 if arrangements count too.

okey. i checked. i finished totally of 15 songs. this means these songs have a proper mixing and mastering and no further plans on them.
but in total i created 46 songs. at least i think so. it is just a rough estimate. this means cca one song per one week. not bad.

As I wrote in the description ”In case it’s unclear what a ”finished song” means, just use your own subjective interpretation of what it means.”
It’s up to you to decide.
