AI is starting to replace jobs, so if you can use it in your music before it eliminates composers, it's no more cheating than MIDI was when it allowed us to play more than one instrument at a time without needing a multitrack tape studio back in the day. I remember even feeling I was cheating when I could pencil in MIDI notes on a piano roll in Cubase 1.0 and have it play back something that was not easily playable with my hands! So if AI has any features you can use in your music, I'd say it's just another assistive tool. Many such AI tools are now in many photo editor apps allowing people to fix, erase, or generatively fill areas that were previously harder or more time-consuming for mere mortals to do, and most people welcome the assistance. No need for guilt!

López can make just over 1,000 euros, or $1,090, per advert and is featured in images on Fanvue.

A Spanish modeling agency said it's created the country's first AI influencer, who can earn up to 10,000 euros, or $11,000, a month as a model.
Euronews reported the news, based on an interview with Rubeñ Cruz, founder of the Barcelona-based modeling agency The Clueless, which created the influencer.
The AI-generated woman, Aitana López, is a pink-haired 25-year-old. Her account has amassed 124,000 followers on Instagram.
Cruz told Euronews he decided to design López after having trouble working with real models and influencers. "We started analyzing how we were working and realized that many projects were being put on hold or canceled due to problems beyond our control. Often it was the fault of the influencer or model and not due to design issues," he said.
"We did it so that we could make a better living and not be dependent on other people who have egos, who have manias, or who just want to make a lot of money by posing," he added.
At the time of publication, 56 photos had been shared on López's Instagram account. Images of her dressed in lingerie have also been posted on Fanvue, a subscription platform similar to OnlyFans.
Her most recent Instagram Stories show her drinking cocktails on a night out and going to the gym. The agency created the images using Photoshop.

They think they are being clever now cutting out models to bring down cost, but surely the obvious conclusion is for the clients to just cut out the modelling agency and go straight to the AI models themselves.
If the modelling agency isnt doing the work to hire and manage actual models then what value do they have?

That image took literally seconds off the top of my head, if I actually took it seriously and put effort into my prompt I'm sure it could be absolutely convincing.

My remark was about me guessing that the AI you used is creating the eyes one after the other, not at the same time, without a uniformed context of one light source in one room.

In my example of the AI influencer article, it looks like "she" was on a photoshoot with one spot light. That's what I see in "her" eyes. Now I don't see "her" hands, so I don't know how many mutated and horrible fingers "she" has hidden behind

You know what? Let's see if you can force the AI you used to have 2 separate light sources in each eye, making it more obvious with a prompt somewhat confusing for the AI. Something like "very close up reflections of one light bulb and one candle in a woman's eyes". Terrible prompt, I don't know how to phrase it better. Logically we should get the same image in both eyes. Not a light bulb in one eye and a candle in the other

Have you ever watched the movie "John Carpenter's The Thing"? I love how the movie is still holding, thanks to the use of practical FX. They made a prequel with the same name I believe, but it was pretty much all digital FX. Never saw it, only some scenes. Laughable yes. Scary, disgusting and revolting? Nope.
The notion of beauty is always evolving, and even if you steal from the mind of fashion designers, you still need them to update the machine. Otherwise the result will end up looking like a Cuban's taxi. A forever beautiful vintage looking car from the 60's, but with a tiny low powered engine under the hood.

Some models and TikTok influencers will be impacted by the technology, the same who can easily be replaced by other humans right now.

Our brains do malfunction in a multitude of ways, but it has nothing to do with what is happening inside these so-called AI-systems (which are actually no AI at all).

Reasoning doesn't seem to fix optical illusions, though yes, PRESENTLY we don't have introspective AI.

Neural networks in their current form are a small subset of differentiable networks, which can represent and model a hell of a lot more. Work is being done with hybrid approaches, but it's anyone's guess where we'll be in the next decade.

But I wasn't suggesting neural networks are exactly the same as the brain. In a nutshell, the brain, like neural networks to a certain degree learns something (that some might calla model of reality or a process (such as perception of colour that can account for environmental illumination and the changing hues of the sun throughout the day)) that works for most cases, but special cases can trick it.

All I was getting at, however, is that we also make dumb errors of a similar degree so we should be cautious about being so smug about its mistakes
