A connection to the Earth via the land, animals, and plants. For me, I'd probably put that above other people.

If you go down cyborg alley you can scratch some of those from the list: heart (via artificial heart), kidneys (via dialysis), lungs+air (via ECMO)
Yea, but you can't just scratch those items from the list - you still NEED a heart it's just a matter of its source.

hello,
one of the other stupid things via lesson plans with high school students
would ask them to choose whether to be deaf or blind
the discussion evolved into 'well, what if you couldn't feel anything'
that was a stickler
cheers,

I’ve always enjoyed this question: what if all your senses failed – are you still “you”? How would you then interact with the rest of the world? Are our senses thus determining ‘who we are’?
Or this one: what if you had no memory at all? How would you recognize your friends/family, how would you learn? Is memory thus what makes us ‘who we are’?

hello,
@selig: the movie 'memento' (chris nolan directed)
deals with that whole memory loss thing in a very interesting way
get a hold of the movie without reading too much about it first
i've watched it many times over and it gets better each time
cheers,

I saw it when it first came out, need to see it again now knowing what I know.
I really like movies like that, movies like Tenet, 6th Sense, Fight Club, The Others, even The Usual Suspects, etc. Movies where what you THINK you're seeing changes once you know what you know at the end (if that even makes sense). I also like movies like Inception, Arrival, and Interstellar that left my jaw on the floor for days as I was trying to comprehend all the ramifications of the story.

You can also add Oldboy to this list. For full enjoyment don't read too much about the story in advance. And its OST is also great work of art imho. Here you can listen to its main theme:selig wrote: ↑11 Nov 2022I saw it when it first came out, need to see it again now knowing what I know.
